  1. 'Tis indeed true, but according to the Benitez mantra ("Possibilities, Possibilities, Possibilities"), Riise may have been a better bet to stay on the field at that time, as he would offer more of an attacking threat. As for Warnock, I would love for him to be a great left-back - however recent performances have indicated that he apparently isn't, something that I have (like the original poster) been thinking for some time... To look on the bright side, Finnan and Carra had great games, and Momo was looking solid and yet strangely composed in the first half - all bodes well...
  2. Of similar relevance: Novelty house-shaped tea pot - Proper Tea Property... 'Tis like Mallets' Mallet* this... (only without the loud, annoying , dayglo-bermuda-short-and-garish-glasses-wearing tosser that was the Timmy). As a slight aside David Villa would have been a good signing, however did he not state that he had no desire to play for us? (In addition to not liking the Beatles...). *A word association game where you mustn't pause, musn't hesitate or you'll get a bash on the head like this :wallbutt: or like this :wallbutt: ... and your first word is Knobcheese..
  3. With Chelski having that foul little shite Essien injured and Geremi away doing his thing in the African Nations cup I feel we can really boss the midfield tomorrow, and hold quite a high line (assuming that Makelele will be playing in the Didi role??). Could be a great game for Momo to "arrive", if he can grab the likes of Cole by the testes. (and occasionally find someone in a red shirt with a pass...). Bearing that in mind I would go for a fairly attacking 4-4-2 in the first half: Pepe Finnan Carra Sami Riise Gerrard Alonso Momo Kewell Crouchy Cisse If we get the game by the bollocks we would then be able to sub Momo (assuming he hasn't been sent off for GBH) for God, move Stevie to the middle, Djibril to RW, and put 3 past 'em... although I would also like to see Garcia score a blatant 30-yeard screamer just to shut the fecker up about "the goal that never was".. But then I could be spouting cobblers...
  4. As I am sure this is really an official FA site, and they are just putting the feelers out amongst the general public to see who we really want as the next manager, I feel compelled to slightly skew their survey... The direct Djimi link is : HERE - set this* as your homepage and click home at least 96 times a day - maybe Djimi will transcend football altogether, and become King of the planet... *url is http://www.replacesven.com/vote.php?v=5&i=72
  5. I also forgot Florin Raducioiu - would have been fantastic, if only to have someone called Florin playing or us... (a few years before he became a fat waste of space at West Ham)
  6. Owen* (ducks to avoid furniture being thrown at him..) - although rightly so, as he was too expensive... Vieira - instead of signing the "new Vieira" GH could have signed the old one... Djibril Cisse - we could have had that fantastic striker from the French League who tore teams apart week-in, week-out - instead we were obviously sent a very bad reject from the French Football Associations' Footy version of "Stars' in Their Eyes" - "Tonight, Matthew, I will be frustrating".. *Yep there is a massive moral arguement that he was always "Englands' Michael Owen who happened to turn out for Liverpool, and the way he handled his on-off signing of a new contract before leaving to warm the Madrid bench was fucking atrocious, but you can bet your ass he would have scored more than Djibril and Nando combined this season, even with a 3 month break for injury.
  7. 1. Molby - get him spraying balls about in midfield with Xabi (protected by Didi), and allow Gerrard to play up-front off Crouchy (probably to be substituted after 60 minutes...). There would also be a professional footballer to make Fer-wank look thin... 2. Callaghan - You want a RW?? 3. Barnesy - as posted elsewhere, the hat-trick against Crewe was probably one of the best individual performances that I have ever seen from any footballer ever. Fact... (Incidentally, I too owned the "John Barnes Story" around the late 80's (tape wore out as I recall) - at the same time I picked up another tape called something like "The Greatest Ever Liverpool XI", where Barnesy chose his top team (hence the name) - so there are at least 2 Digger videos...)
