To be honest boys, underneath all the shit about Hargreaves, Rashid has got a big point. We don't need any more players who are gonna take six months 'adjust to the demands of the Premiership'. We need players who can come in and do a good job from the get go. For instance, all sentiment aside, I would rather break the bank to bring Owen in than a foreign striker or even Johnson who, although he has played and been successful in the Prem, is still in the James Beattie-Kevin Phillips class of 'done it for one season'. Gallas would be a top signing as he is probably one of the most underrated defenders about and would add a bit of pace to the defence. Wright Phillips is a great player, but who here would risk 15 million on him? I think Routledge would be a gamble worth taking considering he would probably cost about 1.5 million in a nominal fee. Malbranque would be a good alternative if we can't get Aimar as he has been doing it consistently for a few seasons now. Above that, there isn't many I can think of who would be worth signing and would come or vice versa. But we all know Rafa is the fucking Oracle.......

Hermes, I haven't been a member of this forum for long, but you are on a par with Frank the Tortoise for how angry you are making me. At the start of the season, most REAL reds agreed that this season was a write off considering Houllier had squandered the best part of 150 million on dead wood and left Rafa with fuck all to play with. Rafa has restored pride for us this season, with the Champions League run and a trip to Cardiff. His 'genius' this season might have only took us to fifth in the league, but at the same time he has brought the best out of Carra, coped with the worst injury crisis in years, signed the future best player on the planet and managed to keep the best midfielder in Europe happy (he would have been gone had Houllier been allowed to carry on). So Hermes, I think you need to shut the fuck up if you have got nothing constructive to say and let the rest of us who are not shagging Gerard Houllier enjoy the rest of the season. We will be back, and when that happens you will be needing to send a written apology to Rafa for your disloyalty.

Carra's comeback game after his broken leg rounded him up perfectly. Against Villa at Anfield, he was playing left back and marked their winger out of the game and 'let him know he was there' a few times as well. Their winger must have cried at half time because he was dragged off coz he couldn't handle the Carra Power. It was like the lad was never gone. And he was drinking in the Holt on Kenny after the game. We should thank God (Allah, Buddah, Fowler, whoever you fucking believe in) every day for bringing Carra into our lives. Making him the skipper next season is a must. Regardless of if Gerrard stays or not, Carra deserves it and Gerrard doesn't just for the way he as treated our club and held it to ransom.
