yup. same in internet explorer. and mostly it lets me look at everything for a while, then unpredictably it spazzes out, and wont let me see anything except TLW. fingers are therefore pointing to usher. exactly how computer literate is he?

well yeah I've been trying that, but it's hard work. I seem to have picked up something that fucks around with my internet connection, meaning it keeps coming up with the 'can't find server' message, following which I have to disconnect then reconnect. bizarrely the one single site I can always access is this one. my theory is that this is due to the address being numerical or something like that. fuck alone knows why that would make any difference, but it's weird the way every other site will be blocked, except this one. I've run AVG/spybot a million times, and am now trying that hitman thing, but I just thought I'd say fuck it & start again. unless anyone has any other ideas. also, any suggestions re. DVD burning programmes apart from nero? I looked at the portable HDs, but I'd rather not spend £40 if at all possible. all I want is a trial version of some software that'll let me burn some movies etc to DVD, then I'll be laughing.

nope I've got a dvd writer too. but that's a fuckin great idea you've got there - can you fit 10 gigs onto one of those little things then? you might just have saved me a whole load of ball-ache.
