The reason I cant see Spain winning teh World Cup is because of all these splits in the country. These regions see themselves as individual and not part of Spain and it must create a lack of team spirit for the national team that seems apparent in major tournaments. Bilbao will only have players that are from within 20 Miles (?) of the club so are in affect a national (regional) team already. It would be very interesting to know what players would make up a Basque and Catalan team. Basque - Alonso, Exteberria, Lizarazu Catalan - Puyol, Raul

Whilst were talking about Spanish clubs I just wanna add that Bilbao are a superb club, their history and policies are very admirable.

Scholes is about the only Man Utd player that I dont dislike, I always thought he was a very good player and played very well for England, shame he was forced out of his favoured position by Lampard. Very sad if this is the end of his career and I hope it works out well for him. Also if this is the end of his career then they could have lost two very important players in Scholes and Heinze for good. Heard from a few Utd fans that he may also never play for them again.

I think we may have missed out on a very good player in Dean Ashton.
