  1. Dr Strangelove Lawrence of Arabia The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 2001: A Space Odyssey Planet of the Apes
  2. Bingo. Named after the M25 which was central to the illegal rave scene in the early days of acid house.
  3. Clue for no 4: it’s not the official designation of the motorway, more a description, which sometimes appears on the road signs. The motorway is integral to how the group got started. Can’t think of any more clues that wouldn’t give it away tbh.
  4. A clue for no 10: their biggest hit is a cover.
  5. Casablanca is my favourite movie of all time. Pretty much as perfect a film as it’s possible to make. Bogart’s closing monologue is mental the first time you hear it, it sounds like one cliche after another until you realise that every line sounds that way because it’s been immortalised in popular culture. Citizen Kane is my second choice, a technically amazing piece of work but lacking Casablanca’s heart.
  6. 4. A major motorway 10. A 19th century political movement
  7. I had no idea there was a band by that name, so no.
  8. It’s good but it’s not right.
  9. Not cryptic clues, but the real inspiration behind band names: 1. The code for a benefit claim form 2. A female friend’s drug habit 3. A character from a cult 60s sci-fi film 4. A major motorway 5. The band members’ financial situation when they started out 6. An NME article about the music scene’s lack of originality 7. The former football team of the captain of the band’s hometown club 8. An American spy plane 9. A 17th century political movement 10. A 19th century political movement
  10. If you can provide a precedent for a serving Labour leader ignoring their requests for a public apology and deletion, we’ll be able to judge won’t we.
  11. I don’t know, if they didn’t then they should have done. I’m sure that if he’d done it while he was leader, warmly endorsed the homophobes and then dragged his feet over publicly apologising, they’d have had something to say. In any event, your efforts to delegitimise them don’t detract from the criticism of Starmer. Unless senior Labour politicians failing to adequately distance themselves from extremist views isn’t a Bad Thing any more.
