totally agree with your last point beni. it just seems such a complete contrast between this season and last. could anyone have seen GH playing Vladi, HK and EHD in the same side. cant help feel that GH reacted to the mounting pressure and thought right you all want attacking football well here you are then, half expecting it to go tits up when he could then say look it dont work like that. to his surprise it does work (well nearly) hence the complete change in the new GH mantra about attacking football. problem is some of the current defense cant really cope with this style,especially their lack of pace.so it appears as if there has been no gradual evolution to our new approach. having said that i am glad he has reacted in this way and hope fervantly that GH can muddle his way through this change (reaction) because the cup is half full now and not half empty.

I was prepared to give GH a clean slate this year that lasted until i trudged away from villa park, got in the car and then heard GH view of the game which was so far removed from what i had seen.however what i saw against spurs and then what i saw on tv and heard from those at woodison got me thinking, what did i really want from GH.to stop talking drivel after games yes , to change our style of play yes , to pick our srongest team and play them in their best position yes , to learn from his mistakes yes. I know its only 2 games but 3 out of 4 aint bad. So where did i get these negatives about gh from ? forums and media mostly, but alot of it is opinion and speculation both of which i enjoy and respect on here less so in the media.so from now on i am going to try and judge him , on facts. so at the present we have NOT lost MO or SG we have changed our style and GH does seem to have learnt his lessons, so GH i urge you to make many of us to hang our heads ( if the cap fits and all that) and continue in this vein so that by the time xmas and the new year arrives and we are up there challenging many of us will rather sheepishly join in when any of your songs begin to re emerge around anfield -------------- -------------------------well i can but hope!!!!!! cheers all

we had all better get used to the idea that it will be owen and heskey come the 17th.GH wouldnt need much of an excuse to play EH but 5 goals pre season will be his justification. i think GH will stand or fall over this and how he uses Kewell with alot of reds. for what its worth i will stand with him on this one and hope it works. see you all on the 17th. cheers
