The 100th and final issue of ‘The Liverpool Way’ is fast approaching and we’re looking to get your input on a series of articles featuring ‘the best of the TLW era', spanning from August 1999 when the first issue was printed, to the present as we prepare to declare once reaching the century mark.
Over the coming weeks we’ll ask for your votes on various subjects, such as best goal, best game (may have to include a ‘that didn’t take place in Istanbul’ caveat on that one), best signing, worst signing and all the usual stuff.
To start with though, let’s pick the best team of the last 16 years, starting with the goalkeeper. The likes of Simon Mignolet and Sander Westerveld have not been included as it’s fairly clear who the two stand outs have been, and including ‘lesser’ lights merely leaves the door open for Manc sabotage on the voting. We don’t want a situation where every keeper is listed and Peggy Arphexad - or even worse, Brad Jones - ends up winning.
So, without further ado, cast your vote: Pepe or Jerzy?
