A few thoughts from the Dortmund game, by Paul Natton

1. The pre-match warm up for the fans outside the King Harry was boss: flags, flares & mayhem with lads on walls, lamp posts, scaffolding and even one on a roof (he slipped as well).

2. What an awful start, though. Kloppo's selection was all wrong. We were overwhelmed in midfield and they cut through us with ease.

3. Their front four was outrageously good in the first half and Dortmund were all pace, possession and wonderfully crisp passing.

4. Clyne was a great option throughout the first half for the outlet ball and we had several great chances from crosses on that side that came to nought.

5. Can and Origi were about the only Reds showing any composure during that first 45. Both looked really good (and I've not been Can's biggest fan by any means). Origi though; that lad is the real deal. He's got everything you want in a centre forward: pace, strength, work rate, great feet, great attitude and an eye for goal. Watch this space...

6. What's with Tuchel's Klopp impression when he celebrates a goal? Intimidated much?

7. Our first was boss and it was fitting that our two best players of the first half were instrumental. Apologies to the lad next to me though. I'm pretty sure I elbowed him in the face in the mayhem of the celebration.

8. Hummels and Reus, eh? How good are those two? Their combination for their third was clinical and class. (I love being magnanimous in victory).

9. Kloppo's substitutions righted the wrongs of his starting eleven giving us more in midfield and up front. We should use the diamond more often despite our abundance of No.10s. It just suits us better and Sturridge and Origi have a natural understanding.

10. Joe Allen deserves a new contract. Klopp uses him further forward than Rodgers and the difference is clear to see. He was all great movement, incisive passing and front foot aggression when he came on.

11. Our second was clinical. We sliced through them with ease and that marked the turning point for me. We just went from strength to strength.

12. The crowd was phenomenal all match but from 3-2 down they came into their own.

13. James Milner's work rate is ridiculous. He's like Dirk on coke.

14. Sakho's goal. That was from a corner, right? Blimey. (We still couldn't lift it over the first man, mind).

15. At 3-3 their fans and players were completely intimidated and ours just inspired. It was mad on The Kop, just like it's supposed to be.

16. The celebration for the winner was unreal. My throat and head will still be recovering well into next week. That's what being a Red and going to the match is all about.

17. I wasn't worried by Lucas' late foul. Honest.

18. Jurgen Klopp, eh? Wow.

19. This result and performance has put us back on the European map. Potential signings will be salivating while potential opponents will be vomiting.

20. How sick will the Mancs and Blues be too? Ha, ha, ha!!!

21. I re-watched the whole thing as soon as I got in and I saw Kenny's tears at the end. It reminded me how much I love him and also how big today still is for us all.

22. Roll on the semis. Come on you Reds!!!
