Just been watching a programme on the Discovery Turbo channel called 'Chasing Classic Cars'. Basically it's a show about some fella who buys/sells/restores classic cars. Anyway, there's an auction taking place and who happens to be in the audience but our ex-Chairman. He wasn't bidding on the car I saw being auctioned - a lovely silver Ferrari - but it's good to know what sort of things he's doing with his blood money. PS Sorry for starting a new thread. Despite there no doubt being numerous threads 'dedicated' to Moores, the search facility wouldn't come up with any. Maybe I'm doing it wrong...?

Big debate on radio 2 today about this. people with a spare room in their council house will have to pay 14 quid per room a week or downsize.... bit harsh considering most people in social housing are on low incomes anyway and a lot have lived in these places for years and years???? Is it the government feeding the rich and screwing the poor as usual whislt covering up for bankers mistakes or should poor people in council houses have to pay up and get to fuck???? also, anyone listen to it this afternoon? got very heated like. Fucking tory cunts.

Hollywood director Tony Scott, famous for films including Top Gun, has died after jumping from a bridge in Los Angeles, the authorities have said. The Los Angeles County Coroner's office said Scott's death was being investigated as a suicide. British-born Scott, brother of Alien director Ridley, shot to fame in the 1980s with a string of action films. His blockbuster hits included Crimson Tide, Days of Thunder and Beverly Hills Cop II. The coroner said Scott, 68, jumped from the Vincent Thomas Bridge, which spans San Pedro and Terminal Island in Los Angeles. Lt Joe Bale, from the coroner's office, said the director was seen parking his car and jumping into the water at about 12:30 (19:30 GMT) on Sunday. His body was recovered from the harbour less than three hours later. Lt Bale said there was nothing so far to suggest anything other than suicide.
