Right, this is for the teachers, or anyone that knows the answer actually.
Stuck in a job I fucking hate with a passion and want out. I've always fancied teaching (sort of my back up career in my mind), and done loads of coaching, training of colleagues friends over the years.
I know I need more training to do it (already got a degree), but the problem is now financial. I live with and support financially, my girlfriend and 15 month old baby, and need to know:
What are the starting salaries like?
Whats this bursery thing I've heard about?
Can you get support financially while training?(currently mortgaged up)
I know I'm making it sound like I only want to do this for financial reasons, but thats not the case. I'm sitting here regretting not doing this years ago when I didnt have commitments - and just hoping I can still do it now.
Oh, and Paul, as you can probably tell I dont want to be an english teacher. My background is IT, and business support, but would fancy teaching just about anything apart from languages?
