  1. Looking forward to the Olympics when I cheer on some posh twat with a horse!
  2. Not sure the argument that our national team is followed by racist nationalists whereas every other countries national team is followed by progressive people carries much weight. Also worth pointing out that the likes of Fox etc al. All said they were not supporting England!
  3. They have a far right party as the biggest, so not sure about that.
  4. The Italians love their national anthem!
  5. I think English people are allowed to follow England. We don't seem to have a problem with every other nation supporting their national team. Personally I'm looking for payback for the 'void' shenanigans last year but, by and large not that arsed either way. If they win, a diverse team of working class lads will be heroes. Thousands of Scots travelled down in the midst of a pandemic so let's not portray them as saints either.
  6. Yep. Pretty much sums it up. I think the problem is we look at manager's when what the England job needs is a coach.
  7. Perennial problem mate! Venables and Hoddle were the last two - Hoddle was an obnoxious cunt but he was a good fit. Robson got the job on the back of a brilliant Ipswich team. What the fuck have Hodgson, Allardyce, Southgate done? These players are working with Klopp, Pep, Bielsa etc. Then come to work with Southgate and they are expected to win tournaments! I'm absolutely ambivalent about England - not bothered if they win or lose. Although I wanted them to win last night.
  8. It has always been England's problem - the Manager. He us a nice guy Southgate but a poor manager - add him to the seeming never ending list of piss poor managers.
  9. I think this is a really good point - It seems he was see as a project and I am sure his agent has his eye on 10% of either £150m or his huge wages on the back of a smaller fee.
  10. I think that is where Madrid offer him £1m a week - over 4 years, there is no way we do that.
  11. Hmm, this is how I feel when the fit women in the pub has looked in my direction! I mean, it could be me she is looking at!
  12. Haha - nah, Doyle explicitly said 'Mbappe' is a pipe dream, but that he would be very surprised if we don't bring in a forward. It may be someone like Hlosek - but, I'm not sure. I do like the Mallen or Badou!
  13. Wasn't his fee a lot less when he was linked with us?
  14. Everything suggests we'll sign a forward - even the Echo are saying so. They are confident we will.
  15. No better example than how Barcelona have fallen than Martin Braithwaite!
  16. I don't know mate - seems a great way to do business that! I can't possibly think what could go wrong with that tactic. It is a ridiculous way to do business isn't it? What has happened to Arsenal?
  17. Arsenal 'take out loan' which could help fund ambitious £130m triple transfer spree Mikel Arteta has been honest that this window is a pivotal one for his project at Arsenal and is confident the club's owners will back him accordingly https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsenal-take-out-loan-could-24336817 I wish our owners took out a loan to buy players, that is really good business sense.
  18. He doesn't need this job - he may live in the area, but that hasn't stopped him taking the Milan job, the Madrid job, the Napoli job, the China job, the Newcastle job, the Chelsea job. He can take any job he wants, we have no right to ask him to ignore a well paid job with a Premier League team - but, I'm sorry this does tarnish his legacy with us. I can't possibly wish him well - and as usual Everton are appointing a name rather than the right manager.
  19. Kabak would have stopped that!
  20. Anyone know how the hosts were chosen? Seems very arbitrary - some teams at home, others away!
