  1. I actually think it's ridiculous to put a female in the role out of a misguided sense of sexual equality. I would much rather them have written a new, fresh TV show with a strong female lead than I would have them shoehorn a female into a role. What next, a female Bond? A male Miss Marple? A transgendered Harry Potter?

It's Political Correctness gone mad, Stu.

  2. Rumours emerging that McGregor has been knocked out in training by one of his sparring partners

I watched a near 200lb man repeatedly punch McGregor in the face whilst he was on top of him. He didn't get knocked out. For somebody to knock him out in boxing, it'd have to be fucking Tyson.

    Vargas is a bitch.

  3. If VVD can offer the Carra/Staam/Terry type of leadership at the back, plus more of a defensive threat in the air, he might well have a massive impact. If we can add tough to break down, hard to score against and resilience to our decent, face flowing attack, we could be in for a wild ride.

  4. They've been doing that for a very long time anyway. Along with the biggest tv deal in history. It's not like we've cut ticket prices whilst not spending much of late, infact they tried to do the opposite.

Its about time the clubs income starting going towards improving the side again. I dont know where its been going the last few years but it's sure as fuck not been there.

From what I can tell, the owners haven't taken a penny out of the club yet. Obviously there's the stadium, etc. But still, you're right. It's to to invest in the team. Wisely.

  5. I think he has a point about evaluating midfielders though. We have had an issue there for a long time - probably since Mascherano left - and it causes a lot of our defensive issues. It also hinders us from turning defence into attack. I think Keita can help with all of the above, but he'll need to be given some time to find his feet.

  6. That's because those beans have been microwaved.

Heinz beans stewed properly in a pan for 20-25 mins look nothing like the ones on that plate. There shouldn't be any excess juice at all.

Exactly. For my tastes, 10-15 minutes of cooking down until they're thick and broken. Perfect. Those are runny and gross.

  7. My worry is that he won't live up to the expectation that will inevitably come with being a £70m player. He will be expected to be an incredible player, and although he's clearly good, it's not going to be a Suarez, Messi, Ronald type impact.

  8. So what, transfer fees belong in another reality anyway, It's not our money and 70 mill will be the norm for squad players in couple of years, Buy the fucker, Keita too and lets at least give ourselves half a chance of winning something

I think they're over a barrel. If we can wait it out and save millions, maybe get him for under 60, we absolutely should. Same with how we've handled Keita. A while ago it was quoted as £80m, now it's 70m euros - the money you want to fling around might well add up to get another player, or maybe a better player. It's not the extra few hundred grand anymore, it's 10s of millions.

  9. Better men than Klopp, have had the chance to sell him, but haven't.

Yeah, and haven't they done well. I'm sure there will be a great many watching Keita play next year and wishing it was Lucas instead.

  10. Since we last captured the title, Liverpool managers have gone irredeemably crazy, on average, in their 3rd season.

Selling Lucas and keeping a malingerer, like Ings, might be Klopp's public cry for help.

Getting rid of Lucas and buying Keita is certainly not going to be a step towards mediocrity.

  11. I reckon Klopp will walk if we fuck this up

What? Why? I mean, there's absolutely nothing - NOTHING - to suggest he's not happy as Larry, being backed in the way he wants, and happy with everything that's going on. Why would you put it out there? Seems like total made up fantasy, mate.

  12. You cant honestly be thinking that McGregor is fighting him on merit- say, in the same way Hatton or Pacquiao did? This fight is a circus/exhibition bout based on money. The actual breakdown of how the fighting pans out is pretty much an irrelevant sideshow

Neither fighter is doing it on merit. I think I've been pretty clear as to way I think he got the fight... he's a world star.

  13. This makes no sense as lads either become a boxer or an mma fighter. Even Mcgregor has only done one.

The whole thing is a circus regardless of who wins. Just when I thought Boxing couldn't go much lower it once again excels itself.

You're missing what I'm saying, Vlad. The guys you were talking about, and I know the sort, who were complaining about not getting the shot, it's their fault. They're not on the level of a Mayweather or a McGregor in their sports. These guys are not only multi-weight champions, but they're just massive stars. If you want that level of fight, you have to achieve that level of stardom. To be honest, they're jealous of the money.
