Yeah, I’ve no issue with that. That’s clearly not Gnasher’s point though. He did, after all, post it in the Corbyn thread, alongside a video criticising Corbyn, with Baddiel in it. The response I gave was to illustrate that Gnasher constantly talks about shooting the messenger, and instead of debate the merits of what was said in the video.

i do think Gnasher has a point here but im not a particular fan of the smug unfunny twat anyway.

Fair enough. What is the point? If it’s that he’s a twat for going to a party for twats, that’s fine and I agree. If it’s that he’s a Tory for going to a party with some Tories, I disagree but can live with it. If it’s that his issues with Corbyn aren't credible because of a party, that’s silly. If it’s some conspiracy where they all met up at Corbyn’s party to discuss sticking it to Corbyn, it’s ridiculous because of the time frame, what had come before and the fact that phones exist.

personally I find it a bit strange why a well known left activist would be invited, let alone attend this ?

Johnson visit to Lebedev party after victory odd move for 'people's PM' | Boris Johnson | The Guardian

I mean, I just don’t care about what parties celebs go to. Especially that one, I find him unfunny with a dodgy past. That said, he can go to whatever parties he wants without actually agreeing with anything the host or attendees believe.

The point I was making is Gnasher is a hypocrite. The same standards and logic - such as it is - isn’t applied universally. It’s all tribal nonsense.

  4. Just to be clear, attending a party with somebody makes you and that person alike - in this case, a Tory - but meeting people with links to Hamas and calling them your friends is totally legitimate and anybody who questions it is a Tory shill?

Also, questioning the integrity of a media source is ‘shooting the messenger’ but ignoring the argument made by somebody whilst posting a picture of them in the street about to attend a party is… not.

    The more you know.

Did you buy it from an Adam Partridge auction?

Nah, from Great Uncle Hans. He seemed to accumulate a crazy amount of the stuff, and all on prison guard’s salary.

    Stunning episode that.

I think it helps that I have exactly zero expectation. I didn't play the game, I generally don't like stories done in games, I generally despise adaptations of games, so I went into this with little more than a shrug of the shoulders... then bam, it really hit on episode three and it has kept driving.

Anyone know of an easy method of turning a hardwired cat 5 cable into a WiFi signal?

Yep, it's easy. You just need a wireless access point.  Cat 5 (unless you mean Cat 5e) has a maximum of around 100mbps, so you can find ones that wont be majorly bottlenecked by your cable for pretty cheap. This sort of thing. There's better ones, for sure, and if you've got the faster Cat5e then it might not be ideal for speeds.

  9. Quite a few legends in that picture actually. You've got Wally/Waldo bottom left. You've got Liz Truss bottom centre with Maddy McCann, you've got Ian Wright looking stunned to see a young Robin Williams in attendance, you've got Sideshow Bob next to Wrighty, you've got Joe Biden in his 60s, and you've got Peter Crouch in the foreground. Quite the bunch.

On the upside: Tits, Nazi, deffo down for pegging, and probably gargles with ‘it’ afterwards.

On the downside: Likes to paint her walls that the swatch calls ‘nicotine with a hint of lung butter yellow’. A fucking nightmare to explain at the local CLP.

Liverpool to back Jürgen Klopp for summer rebuild | Sport | The Sunda…

Liverpool are ready to fight back after a dismal season by funding Jürgen Klopp to rebuild his squad in the summer and by hiring a new head of research — a key position in the club’s recruitment operations.

Liverpool are close to naming a successor to Dr Ian Graham, who built the renowned data science department, and whose work informed a number of the club’s transfer coups since he joined the club in 2012. These included the signing of Mohamed Salah from Roma for £34 million, Sadio Mané from Southampton for £36 million and Andy Robertson for £8 million from Hull.

Graham’s number-crunching also helped to steer Liverpool towards the hiring of Klopp himself, in 2015, after analysis suggested Klopp’s final season at Borussia Dortmund — where Dortmund spent time at the bottom of the Bundesliga and finished seventh — was anomalous, given underlying performance indicators.

The figure poised to replace Graham is thought to be working in the game and regarded as a leading operator in the football data field. Graham, a Cambridge University physicist, is working a notice period until May.

Despite misguided speculation to the contrary, Klopp has no intention of walking away from Liverpool — and, indeed, is said to be filled with a renewed energy and desire to revamp his team and “go again”. He has been buoyed by indications he will be given significant resources to overhaul his playing personnel.

With a number of leading players now in their thirties or approaching 30, and the Premier League being led by its youngest team — Arsenal — there is an acknowledgement that younger, fresh blood is needed. The Borussia Dortmund midfield phenomenon, Jude Bellingham, 19 is among Liverpool’s principal targets. They face competition from Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea for the England star, who is valued at about €150 million (£131 million) by his club. Liverpool are also strongly linked with Wolves’ Matheus Nunes, who would cost about €50 million (£44 million).

Funding a transfer overhaul would also represent a statement of commitment from Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), who in November signalled they were open to offers for the club. FSG’s position is that they are continuing to explore new investment.

Bold statement. Huge words of intent.

    Etc.

  12. Absolutely, I have a thing for women who are morally repugnant; Nazis, murderers, psychos in general, Tory right wing bitches, vampires, soul sucking witches. You know the sort. Absolutely. I’d be reciting Hitler speeches as I did it.

  13. Yeah, it’s definitely much more lightweight than windows, which makes it a good choice for old machines and smaller services with less power. I used to run it on my server, though that’s quite powerful it it’s own right, so it has windows 10 on it now but only because Plex server is my main reason for running a server.

On my main machine I run Windows 10 and Kali Linux.
