Even when I use the phrase top wage 100-150k doesn't even get a Cavani. Now I don't fully know why that is if is due to the manager or the board or whatever. Did Rodgers want lots of players rather than 2 or 3 I don't know.

I do not have an issue with what any player earns. Although I would sell Lucas and Allen as I think now we have champions league we could get better. I have more of an issue with people moaning about what player a or b earns.I l also do not like the balance of the midfield. The reason I say this they are rightly talking of improved contracts for Coutinho and Sturridge but if there are injurys or loss of form and in the case of Sturridge we know there are some problems. People just bitch and moan they are overpaid. I also take issue with fans talking about people ripping the club off like they held Ian Ayre and the gang hostage and gave him a line of crack and made him sign an extension with improved wages. The club give players contracts because it is in their interests to safeguard the value of the player.

I do not care what a player earns but a few on here have a good moan about players wages mainly due to jealousy it would seem. it is not like they are going to reduce your ticket price if player a leaves. Glen Johnson and Lucas were both given a payrise and contract extension under FSG's watch. Do people think FSG should not give Sturridge a pay rise as he is a bit of a crock as they moan about Aggers injury record and players who are deadwood etc and clogging up the wagebill?

Well without question he deserves a big payrise. But the suits will look at his injury record and consider what is fair value. Sturridge rightly would want parity with any top attacking player that came in this summer. Hence me saying I would be suprised if they bought in a player on 100-150k. It is why we were never serious about Sanchez.

I am guessing one of the problems is if they sign a 100-150k a week attacking player they have to pay Sturridge more as well. So maybe this is part of the problem Sturridge is on around 70k last time I checked. Last I heard they were still negiotaing a contract for Sturridge. You would expect his agent is keeping a close eye on things.

Well on last seasons evidence and their squad Balotelli is playing for a mid-table team.

I'm not a Lambert fan and have serious doubts and would rather we had looked elsewhere. But pre-season is about getting the players fitter and trying out a few things tactics wise. Different players peak fitnesswise and it tends to take the older ones see Gerrard and Johnson a bit more time. Henderson aside I would guess those on International duty are a bit behind fitnesswise. He will prob underwhelm but it won't be due to what happens in pre-season. You would assume Rodgers knew he was not exactly Usain Bolt so I doubt his pace or lack of it in this case is not a problem.

Don't citys American club own Lampard so they could loan him for free and it keeps anything off their balance sheet or someshit. So if they have a few injurys they can just call David Villa and say hey have a kickabout. Not that Lampard has much to give anymore.
