Suarez being the selfish little scrotum he actually is, has Liverpool by the balls. They don't want to sell him to a club who also has top 4 aspirations. However no other club as of yet has made a bid.
He is easily one of the best footballers in the world and his 30 goals will be near impossible to replace. It's also way to late to go searching for a replacement.
Manchester City have signed two of the ideal ones in Jovetic whom I think is a great player and the other being Alvaro Nagredo. Soldado at 28 wouldn't be considered a long-term replacement.
Who is left, if and only if Liverpool can find an overseas buyer who will pay the fee they are looking for? Everyone is a winner. Suarez gets what he supposeably wants and that's a move. Liverpool get one over Arsenal and say fuck you, we wouldn't sell you a virus. Liverpool make a tidy profit on a extremely talented but troublesome player.
They then can maybe just maybe go and get a player that isn't banned for the first six games. Or maybe even two players.
Don't kill me, these are just my observations.
