  1. Good things about Rodgers.. 1. Taken the mammoth task of managing Liverpool in his stride whilst embracing the values and history of the club and its past managers. 2. If winning football matches. 3. Bought two world class forward players ( sturridge & courtinio) for a song. 4. Handled the Suarez affair very well in the summer. 5. Excellent with the media in promoting the club. 6. Not afraid to ship out players on big wages (Carrol, downing, cole etc) 7. Although he makes mistakes, is tactically sound. 8. Gives the youngsters a boost by not being afraid to play a few of them when he feels they deserve the opportunity. 9. Plays attractive football. 10. Does not cower down to the mancs. 11. Gets on well with Kenny and showed maturity in playing his part so the king could be back where he belongs, at the club. 12. Good student of the game. 13. Little to suggest he is not willing to learn from mistakes. 14. Will improve as a manager, given time. 15. He is not Roy Hodgson. 16. Will not bow down to player power or unreasonable demands ( sigurdson) 17. Seems to possess a good eye for a player. 18. Integrates the 1st team with the youngsters on a regular basis. 19. Seems to have a mid and long term strategy for the club. 20. Is a good football manager.
  2. Another gutless performance from arsenal at old trafford. That's what you get for selling man utd your best player. Let them right back in the title race. I don't know what Wenger was thinking before the game when he said the rapist will always be one of the arsenal, didn't look bothered about being one of the arsenal after he scored.
  3. He's a million trillion times better than this idiot http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Iat6XqGlgNI
  4. Can't believe some people wanted man utd to get something from that game. They are now only three points behind us with a very winnable next eight games.. They won the league by eleven points last year and could well be top of the league not long after Christmas. A lose today could have ruined them, ffs.
  5. Super slick comfort on the ball arsenal treating it like a kid with a hot potato.
  6. Get bentder on, least we can have a good laugh.
  7. Not a threat? As it stands they're three points behind us!
  8. How anyone can want the mancs to get anything from this game is beyond me.
  9. He lost it for me when he stopped doing that stupid little crouch on one knee on the touch line, remember that? Used to spend half the game looking at players knees, pretending to look all wise . Strange fella.
  10. Fletcher off and that rubbish altidore on. Take borini back from there.
  11. With regard to the mancs. As the wise old philosopher Plato once said ( it might have been another old Chinese gezzer actually, can't remember ) " if enemy on floor, impart good hard kick in belly"
  12. If the mancs win today they will only be three points behind us, having played two more top sides and with us still to play them away. Add in the fact they are top of their champs league group and knocked us out of the carling cup and a man utd hammering today is the best result.
  13. Logic suggests a man u lose is the best result for us this afternoon. A man utd defeat could be vital to our season. A win will put them only three points behind with us still to visit old trafford. Imo man utd are now our biggest threat to European football next season. I'd be very surprised if they finished lower than sixth. If we finish one place ahead of the mancs it should ensure euro football next year and probably champions league.* * thinly veiled post to try to add logic and reason to me wanting them to get fucking hammered.
  14. Great performance by Henderson, good closing down and passing for both Suarez goals. Showed very well yesterday, although against weak opposition and in a more conventional system. Needs to kick on from here and start showing more composure in front of goal, though too his credit he is getting into scoring positions. Also needs to make an impact in the big games but has time on his side for further improvement.
  15. Bollocks. Two seasons ago Allen played for swansea twice against a liverpool side that included midfeilders Lucas, Henderson, Gerrard, Adam and twice looked the best player on the pitch. Swansea were unfortunate to come out of those two games with only four points. Allen might not be a world beater but he can close down the opposition, receive the ball in tight areas, trap the ball and pass the thing to one of his own team mates.
  16. On a positive note, well done Jordan http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/441662/Liverpool-midfielder-Jordan-Henderson-gets-England-call-up
  17. Fair point. If we'd have played four champions league games against the likes of dortmund and napoli our midfield might well have hit a purple patch and scored eighteen goals to put us level. Jordan could well have smashed in eleven in four games to draw him level with ramsey.
  18. I hope I'm wrong but the backing of henderson over ramsey in the above post may get to sound more and more ridiculous as the season wears on.
  19. The costa bid was another strange one. If we'd have signed him would we have played with three centre forwards the way we play with three at the back? Great player but I'm confused by the thinking, unless he was lined up as a replacement for Suarez.
  20. I found our last transfer window dealings strange. Rodgers said he was looking to add goals and bought three center half's, although all three are good players its given the team a lop sided look. Our midfield has failed to score a single goal from open play, (possibly due to the system! And despite accommodating our defensive signings in to the team we are failing to keep clean sheets. Unless the system changes before its too late a slide down the table imo looks inevitable. Also it confuses what midfeilders are playing well or not well, so it's not as easy to know what players we need and where they are going to fit into whatever system we'll be playing. I'm confused. Switch to a back and attack attack attack Fulham. Then look at recruiting one or two top class midfield players in January. Our defensive and attacking players are fine, although a world class left back could be added to santas list.
