  1. Liverpool is a zillion times bigger job than swansea, and Swansea have kept Alan Curtis and John Toshack at the hub of the club, good experienced football men. There are not enough football men involved with the club, until its sorted i can only see Rodgers struggling, good young manager but it could become his undoing. Who's he got? Tom Wernar, Ian Ayre and Colin Pascoe. The last time we won the league Kenny had Ronnie Moran and Roy Evans. Bob Paisley was always on hand with a bit of advice and Kenny was clever enough to use it.
  2. The horse has bolted, but if only, http://www.theguardian.com/football/2012/may/22/louis-van-gaal-liverpool
  3. I realise its probably not feasible but who are we to turn our noses up to a man of hiddink or van gaals quality? As we're not going to sugar daddy a load of 40mil players into the first team we've got to get our transfer policy, playing style and academy spot on. Van Gaal or Hiddink would fit the bill on all three points. The players Van Gaal brought through the Ajax acadamy reads like a who's who of genuine world class footballers. The mans a winner. The only football man at the club is Kenny and it seems he's on his way to Asia to sell shirts. Who are we left with? Ian Ayer and Colin Pascoe. Van Gaals a bit of a hot head lunatic but so what? He knows how to build a club to play good football and win titles.
  4. Shanks had men like joe fagan, ronnie moran, roy evans and bob paisley in his set up. No disrespect to the man but brendan rodgers has got colin pascoe.
  5. I can't believe our acadamy can't produce a better player than him, and that's setting the bar at limbo dancing height. He is utter shit.
  6. I'm thinking more of van gal recreating the acadamy on the Ajax model. Van Gal should be free after the World Cup. Who's the last great player to come from our youth set up? Gerrard, Owen, Fowler,Mcmannam? Years ago. It's not good enough.
  7. Should it be up to rodgers? He'd still coach the first team. The transfer policy and acadamy are scatterbrained. Our style of play seems to change from game to game. If we continue to perform like we did today the inevitable slide down the table will turn the club into meltdown.
  8. Maybe a hiddink type man would see through the nonsense of buying three centre half's in the last transfer window. The acadamy is in disarray, Flanagan playing his first start away against league leaders arsenal in a three at the back system he dos'nt play in the under 21s sums it up. A winner who knows how to win titles.
  9. Fire sell all our fringe players, borini, sterling, aspas a centre half and put the lot and more into buying juan mata or someone similar. It's time we just bought a world class player every window instead of padding.
  10. I'm not sure if two world class midfielders would win us the league. The club needs a complete overhaul from acadamy to first team. I'd love to see Van de Gall have a major role at the club.
  11. Nope. That's part of the problem, its becoming all so predictable.
  12. Did we miss out on not insisting Rodgers work under a director of football? Should it be insisted on now? We haven't played Chelsea or Man city yet, we''re still to go to old trafford or Southampton, one could conclude our current league position false, our hopes of edging out man city, chelsea, arsenal, mancs to a top four spot slim. Our transfer policy is baffling, three center half's bought, three goals conceded in the last two games. Midfield that fails to protect the back four or score goals up the other end left untouched. Hiddink, Capello or Van de Gaal could be the best signing we make in January. All proven winners.
  13. Rodgers must take the blame for this performance. He dropped joe allen after missing an absolute sitter last week. Admiting the kid had a stinker, but what message does that send out to the rest of our midfield? It sends out the message, do not burst into the box, shoot and miss, our you will be dropped. Our midfield (excluding Gerrard) have a fatal allergy against scoring goals. When you consider Ramsey scoring another two away at Cardiff it's turned from a joke to a disgrace, not good enough.
  14. I blame joe allen for being a midfielder who actually wants to get in the opposition box, take a shot and miss a sitter. He should've had a game of cards in the centre circle, its now become the liverpool way, midfielders are apparently not there to get into goal scoring positions from open play. That'll teach him.
  15. The Lucas , Henderson, Gerrard midfield dos'nt work. Until we wake up to this fact we're fucked.
  16. I think he would, he can keep possession and pass the ball.
  17. Well done Lucas, giving away needless free kicks in places where it's hulls only place to score.
  18. Jose mourinio thinks moses has had a superb game.
  19. I don't think there's a manager alive who'd swap moses and stirling for ribarey and roben.
  20. Henderson, Stirling and Moses have all given a good audition for being very good championship players.
  21. Is victor moses a chelsea plant? What the fuck was he thinking about? And the chelsea bench warmer griping about not getting enough game time. Unless he ups his game he'll end up back at wigan.
  22. A win today puts us five points clear of the mancs, six over spurs, those two sides are our major rivals this season as Man city, chelsea, arsenal are all but guaranteed to be in the top four. Three points vital today.
  23. Here we go. Second half spineless spud show on our screens now.
