  1. Gonna be stuck out in Africa most of this summer to with that AFCON shite as is Mane. Disrupted pre seasons - extra games in dead hot conditions...not good.
  2. He really is - enjoying his stuff. Problem is there is a whole generation who have grown up now knowing no different to the shite that the game has become and even worse who don't care that TV is ruining things/don't care that players earn millions a year. Our game away at Southampton being moved to a Friday night for example when nobody can get back at a decent hour/if at all....have to have a day off work to go etc.....as long as they can stand in pub and watch it, or watch at home they don't care. His voice is one that sadly won't resonate with the sky generation
  3. We seem to be at crossed purposes. We all know the first choice forwards had a poor game yesterday anf have been a bit up and down lately.....nobody is really on it every single week (maybe Messi and that preening prick at Juventus aside) The problem is that when our first choice attackers are struggling or are out we have nothing in reserve, because the back up is always shite, because it adds nothing. It is totally incompatible to how we like to play, it is miles off the level we need and it lets us down time and time again. We know the front 3 will have poor games/be out at times/need a rest etc.....we should be able to expect something from their replacements - their replacements offer us nothing and have offered us nothing far too many times.

  5. We need an upturn in form and soon. First 19 games we got 51 pts at an average of 2.68 per game. A totally unrealistic ask to keep going at that rate to be fair but in the 8 since we have gained 15 an average of 1.88 a game - some drop off, that. This under 2 pts a game form in 2nd half of season so far if we stay at or around this rate for the entire 2nd half of season would see us end up on about 87pts - nowhere near enough to hold off City.
  6. I was talking generally, mate - based on what they do (or more to point don't do) when called upon. One of them may well start on Wednesday for example and that fact alone is cause for concern.
  7. Almost certainly would have run as far if not further too.
  8. I'm talking generally about our options to change in attack/cover injuries. It is miles away from what it needs to be and the options we call on simply can't be trusted to deliver at all....they are also hugely incompatible with how we play - we need to find another way of playing when we are forced to use them possibly, that is one for Klopp to decide on of course.
  9. Yes Salah was poor today, but he has of course been brilliant largely for nearly two seasons. The duds on the bench have done fuck all for years - one is a total has been who can barely run, the other a never was who was cast aside for Solanke - and the fact that we still have to call on them and watch them add nothing over and over again all this time down the line is IMO just wrong. It is a real shame as Klopp is boss and has done a great job so far but he has for me a massive blindspot and has made a total clusterfuck of our attacking options outside the 3 starters.
  10. Playing as badly in a game or two and being generally as bad as are two very different things. The gulf in ability and in particular the abililty to function in our side between the 3 starters in attack and the absolute shite on the bench to cover them is huge.
  11. Aye. Yet somehow we are top of the league. It is the nagging doubt that our total lack of attacking cover will do for us though and the feeling that it did not have to that is just there. I just don't understand Klopp's thinking....Sturridge situation is bad enough, but Origi one is just weird - cast aside for Solanke - Solanke flops and then he is sold and suddenly Origi is deemed an acceptable option...i realise that maybe Klopp thought Solanke could make it but it just seems bad planning to me.
  12. The question is what are we going to do about it though. We all know Sturridge and Origi are nowhere near what we need and both should go in summer - but who are we going to get? If we could get proper, quality forward back up wouldn't we have done it by now - Klopp has had a long time to do it and hasn't. It isn't even so much that Origi and Sturridge are shite (ok they are and Solanke was too) but it is also they are totally incompatible with the way we like to play...i.e. not at all like the players they are covering. Origi wasn't even in plans until suddenly it dawned on Klopp that Solanke was never going to make it, now here he is arguably our number 1 back up forward - an absolute clusterfuck. We seem unable or unwilling to change how we play to accomodate whatever strengths (not that there are many) they bring as subs - so they come on and look totally lost and we become totally ineffective as an attacking threat....especially if the attacking players already on are not at it. If Firmino is out for a few games now god knows what kind of state we'll be in, but for me we have to find a way of lining up that does not involve trying to shoehorn Origi, Sturridge or fucking Lallana into a front 3....it still pisses me off greatly that when Salah went off in the European Cup Final that we brought Adam fucking Lallana on!
  13. Firmino "update" https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/339293-roberto-firmino-injury-update Given our record with injuries i expect to see him play again maybe April
  14. Or treated like the mancs treated today. Yes they are horrible cunts - but they got behind their side big time today...all around the ground as well not just one end. Shithouses of course had to get their snide Hillsborough songs in (twats) but the noise levels and backing was loads better than anything i've heard at Anfield this season and that is a bad reflection on us as fans - the crowd have got to up their game, we might not get this close again for a while....Anfield should be a bearpit for every game. Fuck the nerves (we know it transmits to players) 5 or 6 games at home where the famous 12th man needs to step up
  15. Shows how far the vermin have fallen though this today. Stupid cunts celebrating like they have won league, yet actually they dropped out of top 4 today and we went top. No mention of that from media though.
  16. Yeah - the one area where IMO he deserves criticism is in his approach to the squad.....it is laughable that our only forward back up is Origi and Sturridge and likes of those two and Moreno and Lallana are still at club. He is boss - but i find it incredible he seems to think our cover is up to the job
  17. Oridinarily take a point there - but they were just there to be beat and that is deeply frustrating. A point and gone top - it could be worse....but it feels like we are plagued wirh nerves and unable to handle them - just can't see right now how if we are still in race come the last couple games or so how we will be able to deal with it. I believe we now after midweek play after them every game in March - so pressure will be on us every game to match or better their result - play catch up or stretch lead something we have shown we struggle with.
  18. Our approach to that makes no sense to me - played with fear, played nervously - simple, easy things not being done. Yes we haven't lost again, yes it is a notoriously hard game out way - but for me yet again this season (maybe 4th time) we have failed when chance is there to make headway and put a gap in place. I hate to say it but if we are this nervy in Jan and Feb fucking hell what we gonna be like if still in this in April/May. We were so scared we didn't even put ball into box in dying moments when had it all in front of us.
  19. I just don't understand why bring Sturridge on. Hard work, lots of running and movement is needed here - he offers none of those things.
  20. Have to come out at these now somehow and look to blitz them. We can do it, but we have to show more composure and balls than we have so far
  21. It must be some kind of inferiority complex or something when we go to this fucking toilet. They are fucking rubbish, ravaged by injuries and we haven't put them to the sword at all. Really need to sort this out 2nd half Whats the betting on Firmino being out until April too. Sturridge on as a sub is a fucking joke - shouldn't be anywhere near our side but here we are trying to win a league and he is on our bench
  22. That does put a different spin on it!
