  1. I've always said if Dave U wants me to go then I'll go.
  2. My concern would be that he'd play every game and get injured, instead of being used as part of a larger squad like at Man City.
  3. That he's the only manager in the last half a dozen seasons to get us into the CL. Okay, half of those seasons have been his, but the point stands. That was the comment I made to Redder Lurtz which set you off.
  4. There's talk about a return of TK's Ratings. We can't confirm it either way. They might come back, but they might not. There will be a meeting and a robust review of last season's ratings first, as the author seeks to establish what went wrong and how to fix it.
  5. It wasn't supposed to be. I'm not here to persuade someone who's made up their mind.
  6. Okay, he's on the fucking committee - have a gold star for knowledge. Blah, blah, he's responsible. Not really credible. Whatevs.
  7. Yet here you are, conversing with me in cyberspace. Interesting eh?
  8. ^ pussy. Welcome to Liverpool, Jimmy lad.
  9. Were signed by Rodgers with his full backing, one would imagine. Interesting eh?
  10. Fair enough, just trying to add a different perspective as it's non-stop anti-Rodgers at the moment.
  11. Perhaps he acknowledges that the owners have different priorities to him.
  12. To be fair he got us into the CL for the first time in five seasons. It's not all his fault that the committee decided to spend it on Markovic and Balotelli.
  13. Ask yourself, which type of manager is likely to increase the value of young attacking players... would it be Rodgers or Hodgson? It's easy to see why Rodgers appeals to FSG. He believes in attacking football and gives youth a chance. Kerching.
  14. That proves my point. All disregarded and explained away, with no credit given to Rodgers.
  15. It cuts both ways. If Sterling goes Rodgers can point to his fee and Suarez's sale offsetting any losses. Coutinho is another likely balance sheet success for the future.
  16. I enjoyed the second half of Rodgers' first season (from January onwards).
  17. There's some evidence that he's good but it's all disregarded. Short/selective memories.
  18. Then there would be the cost/hassle of getting rid of all the backroom staff, the expense of hiring a new manager, having to consider changing the structure of the club to accommodate the new manager's wishes (assuming it's a proven winner in the Klopp/Ancelotti mould), backing the new manager in the transfer market, shifting the deadwood he doesn't want and so on. Can FSG really be bothered with all of that? Never likely, in my opinion.
  19. The owners don't want a manager who has control of transfers, otherwise they would appoint one.
