1. If we bought a quick fix replacement, it would take us another 2 seasons to offload the said player, why not wait until our no.1 targets become available? Granted it would slow us right down in the short term but Rodgers is here for the long haul, it's time we look at the bigger picture,

It's naive to think that the manger does the negotiating, he gives a list of players he wants to the clubs hierarchy, they then decide who is viable financially and then discuss the options with the manager, maybe Rodgers was told players i.e Dempsey/Sturridge/Walcott would be signed once Carroll had left but they failed to secure these deals in time. It happens we as a club and fans just have to accept that at the moment we haven't sufficient strikers and games like the stoke one will happen until it is addressed, I fully believe in time Brendan will get it right, just takes time, EVERYONE should support him fully for the next year and judge him once him methods are fully implemented.
