  1. Another in a long line of piss poor performances that you'd expect from a team in the bottom half of the table, not a team that spent £100M this summer and almost won the title last season.

Rodgers does not seem to be able to get the team to play consistently well and I think he's just pinning his hopes on Sturridge coming back to turn our fortunes. I don't expect to see Sturridge coming back any time soon. By the time he's back and fit enough to start making a difference the top 4 will be out of sight.

  2. If/When we are looking for a new manager, id just like to see him interviewed by John Henry. Just to get his vision across. If Ayre or any former players dont like it i couldnt care less.

If the owner decides he wants to go with someone else then fair enough, but i think he deserves to be given the chance.

You'd put your faith in John Henry to choose a manager? He wouldn't trust himself to make a good decision that's why he has Ayre and Werner to make the big calls.

  3. Meant jnr, did you hear him between one of the rounds? Daft little cunt, pure arrogance when he was being given exactly what was needed - blunt truths.

    Thought that was Sr?

Either way dad needs to step aside, he'll be the biggest hindrance in Jr's career. Was weird seeing the father doing the talking between rounds. Leave that to the trainer.

  4. The "shut the doors" stuff is silly, we need immigrants and we need a lot of them each year. But the problem is we're getting too much immigration. Half a million people move to the UK every year. And those figures don't include the illegals we don't know about. With so many incoming, how are our public services supposed to cope? We're in the middle of a baby boom too so our population is growing rapidly even without immigration. It takes years to build hospitals, houses and schools, it takes years to train doctors, nurses, teachers etc yet we're getting hundreds of thousands of people moving here every year. I don't think our public services can cope with the rate of population growth and we're going to get some serious trouble some years down the line when the NHS, schools, public housing etc goes beyond breaking point in terms of capacity.

  5. When we appointed him, I never expected any real success with Rodgers and felt he would not get us higher than 6th place. Not entirely his fault, the strength of the Premiership makes this a tough league unless you are firmly established (Arsenal, United) or absolutely loaded (Chelsea, City). I said if he got us back into the CL he would be considered a big success, without actually expecting him to achieve that. Coming close to winning the title was beyond my wildest expectations. I was encouraged by some of the results and performances in his 1st season which took away some of my doubts that I had when we appointed him and he built on that magnificently last season.

But all of that promise and coming desperately close to winning the title was built around one man, and he ain't here any more. Without Suarez and Sturridge, Rodgers has sadly been found out. That's actually putting it mildly. He has been absolutely clueless this season and the mancs are rightly going to rip the piss out of us in a few weeks with references to that "Moyes is a football genius" banner.

  6. The worrying part of this appalling season is just how bad we are even compared to BR's first season. We were never going to match our performances from last season, but we are now way off to what we were back in 2012. At the end of Brendan's first season it didn't matter to me that we only finished 7th. The potential was there to see in a lot of our performances. The thrashings we handed out to Swansea, Newcastle, Norwich etc. showed a lot of promise so I was confident that we'd progress under Brendan. And we did by almost winning the title last season.

Now we've regressed to the Hodgson era and it's fucking horrible.

  7. Rodgers back to his first Season master-class.  Fair to say last Season was a one off mainly due to Suarez.

We are actually far, far worse than we were in his first season. At least we recorded some decent wins in his first season and played some good football at times. We have been totally hopeless this season despite spending a huge amount of money.
