These horses are ultimately working animals who must work to earn their keep, and compared to some of their equine cousins who are owned by the traveling community they do get the best of everything. It is sad that horses die in the national, but horses can have accidents in a flat field that will mean they have to be put down. How many horses do you think are kept until they are no longer fit to work or be ridden and how many race horses are kept after their productive life is over. The bottom line is that Horse racing isn't greyhound racing and the owners do look after their horses after their working life is over. I will admit though that the events surrounding Synchronized did make me feel pretty sick.

Think the BBC must have felt quite embarrassed as Claire Balding said just before the race that Synchronized didn't look up to the race, they also said just before that, he looked very calm as if he was about to be let out into his paddock. The next thing you know he has been put down? You seen him get over the jump and it said he was pulled up, and I thought it was because he wasn't up for the race as Claire said, but apparently he had broken his leg! What a bitch! Had Sunny Hill Boy also to win.

What horses are you doing? I have done BecauseICouldntSee and Calgary Bay, both to win. Had the winner in the sweep last year, and don't think it will win again so never backed it again.

I currently have a Blackberry and if you just want a phone for texting, phone and twitter then they are fine. The thing is with them is that you find that apps are not a priority and they either don't get made or are last in the pecking order. I still have another 18 months left on my contract and may be tempted to hang on to my current phone as 4G licences are due to go on auction this year sometime. Therefore in the next few years 4G phones will be brought out, and you know that as soon as my current contract expires and I buy a new phone 4G phones will be released.

My family go quite often to Thailand and yes Bangkok is good but don't stay too long. Phuket is a lively place that has good beaches and good night life, so you may wish to go there after bangkok for a while. Then you have Koh Samui which is a lot quieter than Phuket but the beaches are much nicer and it is a bit more expensive, Koh Samui is a good place to relax.
