    There isnt a big difference with stevie back, it was just him missing more, and easier chances. What sign was there that things would get better, was it him failing to bring down a simple ball or was it him hitting the bar from inside the 6 yard box with a header, the only bloody thing he is suposed to be good at.. You put any striker in the world next to gerrard, they will get more chances, it then comes down to if they are quality themselves. Heskey up top, nothing. Torres up top, shit load of goals

    Why not sign a striker who can finish gerrards world class crosses but als someone who can do it himself, ala torres. Regarding Walcott, I would love him at LFC, he is an assist machien and would give us some real pace. Get him for like 15-18M, would be a good signing.

    Well its not is it. The definition of being a clinical lethal striker is taking chances and scoring goals. If torres does that better than anyone then he is morre clinical and lethal than anyone else

    Most likely because we relied on him to much and fucked him onto the pitch when he was injured. Look at Gerrard now, prone to injury because he was forced to play through the pain early in his liverpool career, and the same with torres

    Scored goals at a faster rate than anyone in the history of the club. Thus, the most lethal striker we ever had. FACT. And why is it laughable exactly to compare Torres leaving to Gerrard? The only difference being that Gerrard tried to leave his boyhood team after we won the Champions League because the club wouldnt give him a new contract. Torres left the club he left his true boyhood team for because we were midtable and miles away from trophies, the only reason he left his boyhood club to come to Liverpool.

    Yeah lets do that rely on Gerrard to pull us through the shit again. Gerrard will provide world class service for any striker on earth, wether its goal or not depends on the striker. We wont get Cavani etc if we dont get CL this season as thats 3 seasons with CL, we might be able to get them in January as we can say, look we are in the semi finals of a cup, and only 2 points off 4th so we might have CL next season
