The last few games he's been solid but the problem with Lucas is that he's not very consistent. If he puts in another performance against Chelsea who are arguably the best team in the Premiership, then that'll go a bit further in proving a lot of Liverpool fans wrong about him. I like him, I think he's a good enough squad player for us but yet to see if he's good enough as one of the first names on the sheet. It's difficult for him because when he first arrived we had Gerrard, Masch and Xabi, all better players but now he's improved and sadly two of them 3 have moved on. Time to step it up to another level lucas

1. Soto - A threat from set pieces and did a good job at the back 2. Maxi - Consisent threat on the RW and was his best performance of the season 3. Raul - Kept things ticking over nicely in midfield and so close from scoring his first goal -
I know it's not much but that was our best performance so far this season If it weren't for Robbo we could've been 4-0 up at HT. I'm just happy we got the 3 points which was badly needed after the recent results and performances at home against lesser teams like Sunderland and Blackpool

It's so much easier blooding youngsters when the team is doing well. Chelsea can blood a few youngsters because they're playing with so much confidence and have a lot more ability in their starting 11 then ours. The last youngster to have a go in the starting 11 was Insua and look where he is now. Fans expected the finish article from a 21 year old and now he is on loan and I doubt we'll get him back. I'm all for giving youngsters more of a chance to prove themselves but it's when fans are expected them to be the finish article that effects their progression. What happens if Jonjo, Wilson, Pacheco etc start and perform badly. they'll be the scapegoat about why are we playing youngsters in the current situation we're in -

Standards are slipping so badly that people expect us to drop points to fucking Blackpool. Their defence is shit and if we attack we'll batter them just like Arsenal and Chelsea. But this is Roy's team so we'll probably sit back and try, counter attack and probably nick a win due to a bit of brilliance from Gerrard/Torres.
