    17.5 million isnt bad business for a guy that could have rotted in the reserves and left for fuck all, just hope roy spends some cash surely the club has 20-30 mill available to get a left back,striker, and a central midfielder, there playing pish at the minute so if there not going to spend at least play the likes of kelly,shelvey & pacheco id rather see them play as johnson, lucas & ngog

    hleb would be a good option at the minute can play on either wing, id settle for anything in a week where we could lose 2 20mill midfielders and still have flipping lucas, agree with other comments about pacheco the lad has to start a game soon, he looks very sharp and eager with an eye for goal and obviously has confidence in his ability something that ngog and babel dont have

    im not worried if people think im a tool or not, i dont see the point in having a go at a man for his username either, after all its a forum for opinions on football, robbie keane would have been a success at the club as much as crouch was, rafa did do a great job at the start of his term with liverpool he won the champions league with probably the greatest ever final in world football, but the club were going nowhere under him, we have been depending too much on 2 players for too long

    he didnt bottle it, he was used as a sub for most of his time at anfield, the man has scored at world cups in seria A, hes hardly a bottler its a case of been given time to blend into a side as i recall it took crouch a fair while to settle, but then again it was only damaging his career playing for a manager who plays strikers on the wings and wingers up front, as for my username i dont recall the thread been for username discussions, but then again your obviously a twat who likes to use big words behind a computer screen

    not bothered about mascherano myself if he stays or goes, we have plenty of players for central positions im not the greatest fan of lucas but he might actually improve if mascherano wasnt there as well, a left back and a striker and we could even be contenders as long as the main men stay fit and we field crap team every week in the europa cup, id like to see a good left sided player as well just to balance the side even duff could do a good job out there.

    gary mac, in your opinion which one was the most effective last season cole or aqualini??? neither have the reputation for been 40 games a season men, i agree both can play in that position, but having that german for that price at 21 would be bargain of the season imo and too good of an oppertunity to miss out on

    think its fair to say roy is going to be a shrewd man in the transfer market but the insua transfer has me thinking we have shipped 3 left backs in the space of 6mnths so he must have one in the pipeline for that slot, joe cole is an interesting one if he stays fit at least we will have a bit of pace on the wing for a change, id like to see a few more transfers maybe sell mascherano and go for oezil the german is 21 and could go for 15mill think he could do the gerrard role behind the strikers with gerrard moving back to a central position

    roy is probably looking for some cheap crap players somewhere, it will be very refreshing when they come caus ive spent too long watching lucas,ngog & insua trying to convince myself they will get better but have lost hope now, so roy get 3 more in and let me start again i believe stoke and wigan will have a few:drool:

    it wasnt that long ago them 2 clowns said the new sponsership money was going towards players, funny they got that deal the day AFTER the transfer window closed, they also said a couple of months after that that rafa would have his biggest transfer budget since he came to the club this summer????????? did they know he was going to inter lol

    lets face it with the money roy has to spend if he gets anything over 20mill for masherano over 10 a piece for lucas & aqualani he should sell, caus the way it is if gerrard goes doubt if torres will stay either then were in the real shit, clubs know by the budget they have given roy that he would like a few bob more to spend so there going to be offering shit prices for what were willing to sell, id say any offer for any player bar reina will be considered by the club thats what happens when your in the balls of debt and had a shite season, thanks g&h

    id rather we went without one of these road block midfielders, i know most teams have them but a central midfielder shouldnt be playing there imo if he cant tackle or spread the play around, im fed up watching the likes of lucas or mascherano getting the ball just to loose it with a 10yard pass, 40million for both would be damn good business, how we missed alonso in the middle last season, lets hope jose signs wesley and we get him back on the cheap.....................................some chance
