  1. Quality national anthem. Sang with pride too. I don't know why, but I really like watching Italy play.
  2. Changed my mind AGAIN. (Didn't serve me well yesterday, but hey ho) Paraguay are an underrated and decent team, but 11/10 for the reigning world champions, Italy, a team who have a nack of grinding out wins in the big tournaments is an absolutely great price for me. Single on that, plus: Gilardino fgs (4/1) Italy 1-0 (4/1) Scorecast on the above - 20/1.
  3. I haven't bought an official shirt for ages and refuse to pay £2.50 for a cup of coke that I could buy outside the ground for a quid. Don't get the official program either. Rip off and I couldn't care less what Philip Degen's favourite colour is etc etc. Get a fanzine, much better read. So, personally, my only contribution to the Yanks is my season ticket fee. Personally, I have no issues with non-season ticket holders boycotting matches. Merchandise and refreshments etc too. I'm contributing to not contributing (if that makes sense) a degree by not signing up for any of the cup games under the auto scheme, just the league games for me. Think other season ticket holders should do the same and a total, blanket boycott of the league cup, early rounds of the FA Cup would be a good idea, in my opinion. Normally crap games anyway and not one of the priority, must attend games, so missable.
  4. Italy 1 - 0, Di Natale scorecast. Less than 2.5 goals. De Rossi first booking.
  5. Whilst I agree with hitting Hicks & Gillett in the pocket, it's not that black and white as not paying for tickets. I'm a season ticket holder and it's not in my name. If I don't get it this season, the person I buy it off will just sell it on to somebody else, as I don't know anybody who will take it off my hands. So, should I just give up my season ticket, never to see it again just so Hicks & Gillett possibly leave and then let the person who bought my ticket get the benefit of the better way which new owners will hopefully bring? Sorry, but H&G will be getting a good £700 of me this season, whether folks like it or not.
  6. Thank you woodwork, Paul Le Guen's negativity and Cameroon for being just a little bit shite.
  7. Little dabble in-play on under 1.5 goals and 0-0 in the Cameroon v Japan game. It's dire!
  8. My boss rules! Requested a half day at the last minute - approved. Now chilling at home watching the Dutch. De Jong should have been off there. Blatant two footed tackle. Sneijder and Van Der Vaart are pulling the strings at the minute.
  9. Told all you impatient ninnies who got your knickers in a twist to give it time.
  10. Didn't a Ghanaian player get booked today for playing on as he couldn't hear the whistle? Picture the scene, 89th minute of the semi-final. Game tightly poised at 1-1. The ball gets played through to a player already on a booking, who is just off side. Flag goes up, ref blows his whistle. The player in question doesn't hear this because of the Vuvuzelas, plays on and slots the ball in the back of the net, with the only thought in his head being scoring the goal that puts his country in the World Cup final. He subsequently picks up a yellow card/second yellow and misses the final all because he couldn't hear the whistle because of the cunt-cornets. Get these bloody monstrosities of a creation banned now!
  11. £15.00 losing bet on 888 from yesterday now refunded. Bet with it again on the following: £8 Klose fgs (9/2) £2 Schweinsteiger fgs (10/1) £1 Neill first card (9/1) £1 Germany 3 Australia 2 (33/1 - more in hope of an exciting game, than in expectation) £2 Klose to score with a header (9/2) £1 Schweinsteiger to score from outside the box (10/1)
  12. Lighten up, miserable arses. Granted it could be better. However, we are THREE days into the tournament. Bit too early to judge it yet and call it the most boring World Cup ever. Only 9 goals, compared to other previous tournaments. And? Look who have played. Greece, Slovenia, Algeria, an out of sorts France and Serbia. Hardly going to be a goal fest with those teams. We still have Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany and an exciting Chile team to come. If your not enjoying it, don't watch. There's always Big Brother instead.....
  13. That PANSTIL at right back for Ghana looks good. Can't believe they're playing him instead of PANTSIL from Fulham though. (Check out the back of his shirt).
  14. Yep, looking forward to this game. Looking forward to seeing Jovanovic and Krasic. Should be good. Let's just hope the big European lump up front in this game is a bit better than the one in the previous game.
  15. Cardinal sin committed. I've changed my mind. Little bet on Vidic, but main bet is Milijas first goal at 16/1. African teams can sometimes be a bit rash defensively. 6 games in to the tournament and still no penalty awarded. I can see a penalty being awarded sooner rather than later and Milijas takes the pens. Worth a dabble.
  16. Main bet in. Now for Vidic to do the business. Also having a go on 2-0 and maybe Kacar anytime, if he plays.
  17. On the self-belief issue, somebody commented on the same point re: Greece. Why do nations slog it out in the qualifiers and then just don't turn up or look arsed once they are actually at the World Cup proper. It baffles me. Fair enough, play compact defensive football against better teams, but Greece and Slovenia could have won comfortably if they would have had a go at their respective opponents, in my humble opinion.
  18. Yes, but commentary and shit punditry is part of the game. Has been for a long time. You can just shout back at the tele and revel in your superior football knowledge. But, BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ constantly is less annoying? Come on. Behave.
  19. I enjoy listening to the crowd at the World Cup, listening to the unique songs of each nation. Spain, Brazil, Argentina etc.....Instead, we get: BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! Constantly. FOR 90 FECKING MINUTES. Twats.
  20. It's a terrible game so far. Both teams are very, very average. Plus, I've bet on Novakovic to score first and he looks like he's doing his best impersonation of a white Michael Ricketts.
  21. I'd jizz on her bum hole....Eeeeeeeeeeeh, you feltcher!
  22. For tomorrow: Slovenia to win to nil - 15/8. Line ups permitting: Novakovic (Slovenia) first goal - 5/1. Vidic (Serbia) first goal 33/1 and anytime at 12/1. Schweinsteiger (Germany) first goal 12/1.
  23. Just opened an account with 888sport.com. No lose offer on first bet up to max of £20. Was only going to deposit £15, but did £30 instead and lashed £15 no lose bet on an outside bet for first goal in the Argies game: Taye Tiawo: Left back for Nigeria. Cannonball of a left foot. Takes free kicks. Can see it being a physical game with lots of free kicks. Factor in the new ball. Worth a little dabble, especially with nothing to lose, literally. My other £15 notes went on: £10 on Higuain first goal at 4's. £2 on Higuain 2-0 Scorecast at 25's £2 on Danny Shittu first card at 10's £1 on Method of first goal - Penalty at 10's. Only time will tell....(but quite fancy the Taiwo bet)
