Football Pools website claim that Turkish press are linking us and manure with a £13m bid for Arda Turan. Rubbish website I know but would be a great deal if true. I think I'd even prefer him to Silva for £20m. Any Turks out there who could confirm??

Neither Pacheco or Bruna are as good as Dzagoev but both have got a bit of potential. Bruna has generally been poor but put in a few good performances toward the end of last season so he may have a chance.

Real Madrid were linked a few months back but he said he'd rather stay in russia for a few more seasons. Good player but I guess Rafa would want to give the the likes of Pacheco and Bruna a chance instead of buying a similar player. Looks like Tevez won't be coming to us (according to ssn). Could be a blessing in disguise but I really hope we get Johnson.

Fair play. If we get either Johnson or Srna I think we will have done well and will be stronger because of it. Some of the newspapers seem to think we are favourites for Johnson which is encouraging. I guess Rafa having been after him in January may help. Johnson, tevez and downing on loan wouldn't be a bad summer. Alternatively Johnson, Silva and a cheaper striker (tuncay, saviola) would be fairly good.

Big week for us coming up. By the end of it Johnson and Tevez will have decided on their futures and Rafa will have more of an idea of how his transfers are going to pan out. Whatever the outcome I can see us making some signings in the next few weeks. Srna played RM in ever game during Euro 2008 but I think he's been playing RB recently with Corluka at CB. He's classed by many as one of the best crosses of the ball in the world and he's so good at free-kicks that he is Croatia's second all-time top scorer behind Davor Suker. But then again he's only average..............

Hopefully we are one of the clubs after Srna. He would be perfect for us and he can also take a good free kick/corner which we are seriously rubbish at. I get the feeling that things are going to start happening over the next week or two. Come on Rafa pull a few gems out the bag!

Still think Alonso might leave for a big fee but I'm sure rafa will be able to talk Masch into staying for at least one more season. Rafa would never let them both leave. I think a lot may depend on whether or not we sign Johnson. If we get him we may be forced to sell Xabi in order to strengthen other areas. Shame we're not in for Negredo. I think he'll be a star in the future.

I'm not sure what happened to him last time at Chelsea is that relevant. He's a much better player now, there's a different manager there and as he's a London lad I'd be surprised if Chelsea weren't his first choice. There's also talk amongst Chelsea fans that Bayern Munich are in for Boswinga.

Boss name. I think he's recently been given the all clear to start playing again so getting him on a year's loan wouldn't be a bad option if we sold Alonso.

I think it's more to do with the lack of quality crosses rather than Torres' inability to head them. His headers v Arsenal and Chelsea were sensational. It's a shame we've missed out on Negredo he is little more like a "good old fashioned CF". Great bit of business from Valencia though. He's a potential star. Yeah from what I can make out he will be but not until January as we signed him 3 years ago next January. We signed him on loan initially but I'm not 100% sure loan deals count. The uefa website doesn't make that clear but I assume it will be fine. Ideally we'll sign a couple of "assosiation trained" players this summer (likely to be English). If we don't then at least one and maybe two big name players will be left out of the initial CL squad, like Hyypia was last year. Having missed out on Barry it looks like Rafa is willing to pay over the odds for Johnson.

You don't actually have to have any english players in the 8 CL squad places. The criteria for those places is that at least 4 of them must have been at your club for 3 years between 16-21 and the other 4 can have come through any club in your country between 16-21. None of the 8 players actually have to be English hence Arsenal's CL squad. However we really need to sign a couple of "associaion trained" players this summer to complete our CL squad but fabregas would qualify in the same way as Johnson. We therefore don't necessarily have to sign English but players who have been developed in this country.

Peter Storrie was intimating that he'd only let him leave for a CL club. Then again so did MON, but I think it's between us and Chelsea and I guess he'll choose Chelsea.

SSN now saying they believe bids of £15-20m have been made for Johnson from Liverpool and Chelsea. I guess ours is the lower!

Peter Storie has basically just said on SSN that Glen Johnson's move to a top four club is imminent. Perhaps the Daily Mail were correct. He also said he is a decent lad so perhaps some of those negative stories are just rubbish.

Next on the list will probably be Alonso. I guess within the next couple of weeks we'll find out his fate although the confed cup may delay things slightly.

Yeah, Pompey owing us money isn't really that relevant. The only way it might be is if they were due to pay us some of it next year in which case writing it off now might increase this year's budget but decrease next summer's. I hope we get him for a decent price next week. We could do with a signing to calm people's nerves.

Daily Mail saying Rafa hopes to sign Glen Johnson in the next few days for £17m. Can't see it happening myself but as he missed out on Barry he may be willing to pay over the odds for Johnson and his englishness. If it did happen perhaps Arbeloa will go back to Spain to help finance it with Darby/Degen as back-up.

Had a quick look on a city forum and they seem to think tevez will have announced which club he will be playing for next season by Monday. They also seem pretty confident it will be them as he's apparently already had his medical with them.

Does that mean Wisdom has signed a contract? There was talk about other clubs trying to poach him before he turned 16. Hopefully that means he's here to stay.
