Fucking hell, mate. Guess it beats fingering cats
I'd be more inclined to knock one out over the shadow Foreign Secretary
I would have said slim pickings, but that's not really the right adjective.

Is that your home state, Howie?

Does he think he's Lenny McLean?
He probably weighs about the same, despite being 8 inches shorter.

Steam sale's on. I think it started last night, but missed it with all the excitement. Haven't seen much that's grabbed my eye, but Doom Eternal at half price (£25) is quite tempting.

Haha some blue actually sat and counted how many times we were mentioned?
Furiously marking off a tally on a piece of paper, getting more and more irate as the lines mount up.

186 new deaths. Two days in a row that deaths have increased compared to the same day from the previous week.
Rolling average has increased for two days running.
Wales has already exceeded last week's total, presumably because of that meat packing plant. Scotland will be well under 100 infections for this week and probably less than 20 deaths.

Liverpool or United HAD to win the title.
The Premier League / SKY business model had mandated it. The end justified
the means. There is just to much money in it for it not to happen.Well, that plan worked really well from 2013 to now, I'm surprised the league hadn't gone bankrupt. If we're this corrupt, ultra-powerful club bending everyone to our will- including The Powers That Be, of course- you'd think we'd have won more than one league title since 1990.

I'll admit to not paying attention, but has that super huge planning permission application not landed on the City Hall Servers yet?! Been uploading for quite some time now!
They've had to redo it, someone rang halfway through the upload and interrupted the modem.

Lovely feeling waking up this morning- still pissed, blinding headache, then remembering that we're fucking league champions and everything was alright. I wouldn't exactly say I bounced out of bed, but it wasn't far off.

Fucking amazing to see 37,000 cases a day in Brazil. That's a proper mental experiment they're conducting.
Big increases across the US too and Sweden's still chugging along. I won't post this article as it's pretty long, but it gives a good guide to the current state of play- https://www.theguardian.com/world/ng-interactive/2020/jun/25/revealed-data-shows-10-countries-risking-coronavirus-second-wave-as-lockdown-relaxed

I love the end bit "somebody wanna call a god-damn paramedic?"
I think a (former) programmer at our place wrote that thing's software. He left 4 years ago, and we're still fixing problems he caused.

The Covid app is now estimating around 2300 new daily cases, down from 3900 last week and 8K (I think) the week before. Which is nice. Maybe we could start thinking about easing the lockdown in a couple of weeks...

It would have been mad to end our thirty year wait in 2016, so maybe Mo's not the dumb dumb here, hey, you think of that?
We should have ended our 30 year wait in 1991 but oh no, we had to wait until now because Mo thinks it's the right time.

Mohamed Salah believes now is the right time for Liverpool to end their 30-year wait for a top-flight English title.
Sharp as a tack is Mo.

We’re down to a rolling 7 day average of 5 new cases and one death - it’s been a few weeks since the easing of restrictions so hopefully they seem to have been handled quite well. Next thing is to try and fix the economy - total year forecast is currently a 5% drop in GDP.
Govt have also given healthcare professionals a £1,000 bonus (for most nurses that equates to close to a months pay) with planned pay increases of 20% coming soon. They are also giving teachers an average of 10% salary increase in recognition of the work they’ve done in setting up remote learning.
I’m not naturally this govt’s biggest fan but they’ve got a few things right during this crisis. And they haven’t recommended clapping a single time
Amateurs. Here, our healthcare professionals are far more appreciative of a bunch of hypocrites halfheartedly applauding them once a week, then going back to the Daily Mail to rail against the countries many of them came from, than getting any extra cash. And it's obviously better for teacher morale to piss them off by forcing kids back to school for a pointless few weeks, give them conflicting safety advice and then brief against them to your pet journos- keeps them on their toes.
Our drop in GDP is likely to be far higher than yours, and we're brave enough to drop all pretence at a lockdown when we're still getting thousands of new cases a week. Poor show all round, Hungary.
