yeah i watched spurs game last night and although i can see what he brings to a team, i do see he lacks a bit of cutting edge in front of goal.

yeah i agree its not current affairs and im kind of sick of it all myself and just want to move on. Just found it interesting what spurs fans thought about taking robbie back.

I know this has been discussed at length and you all have your own take on things but as an Irishman I was gutted to see Keane let go so soon after finding a bit of form, regardless if he was not the player Benitez thought he was. If we dont win the league, his decision to offload him will surely go down as one of the catalysts to our downfall. A friend of mine who is a spurs fan (interesting to hear things from their perspective) wrote a fantastic piece about the Keane situation on our blog site for those of you who can bear to go through it all again? Not negative compared to every other team, but still not deemed progressive enough or enterprising enough for Barca. Players fell out with him because of a difference of philosophy on the game and allegedly due to 'footballing matters'. If that's not because of his style of football and tactics, then i dont know what is. Gaurdiola's style is much more 'free and intuitive' and I've never seen more attacking football. And you dont hear anyone at Barca complaining, even if they lose an odd game like they did on Sat.

It may prove to be the case. However, watching him be the player head and shoulders above the rest last saturday in only his first game in 3 months, I think the signs are ominous. If that was him unfit and rusty, I'd hate to see him when he's on form.

kind of. I dont think Rafa is a C*nt, love him actually. Think it has more to do with transfer policy at club at moment. It just confuses me we arent in for such players. especially when we are still in the title hunt and crying out for such quality and proven players.

anyone could manage Barca and win stuff with their wealth of talent. You have to do much more than that at Barca; you do have to win everything, but you have to do it with style and with a brand of football that knocks you off your feet. Love watching Barca this season, it has been my tonic when Liverpool have frustrated me (mainly with substitutions if im honest).

Cant believe Rafa didnt wrap up a creative midfielder before deadline day to replace Keane. I was gutted and surprised bids didnt go in for Arshavin and Arsenal were not contested. He is a super player, someone who we are crying out for and a player who will be immense in this league. Maybe some of the above would be decent signings instead? I would love David Silva. He's world class.

although Lucas seems to be the player most worthy of the phrase "weak link" we have to remember he is still very young and Brazilian and he will certainly adapt more to the english game and improve. Here's for hoping anyway!

even though he won the CL with Barca, he fell out of favour both with the fans and players for the negative tactics he employed so it would be much of a muchness really. If we want someone who is defence minded we should get Mourinho in as no one has a better track record in this league apart from Ferguson. And he would defo come to Liverpool if we came knocking.

it is a shame if he doesnt get the chance as imo he has the potential to be one of the world's best and clasiest centre-backs. He has much more to offer than Skertal even though Skertal is a warrior.
