  1. I'm sure a big portion of Irish Reds will agree with him because of who he is, and that then transmits to pubs, message boards and phone ins, etc. He should know better. Even the most anti Rafa cynics will admit he deserves at least another season.
  2. I'd rather sign Glen Campbell. That FIFA thing will never happen either.
  3. All sounds a bit Spurs that. If the formula for success was that simple, everyone would be doing it.
  4. Kenny was an ill man after living through and then carrying the burden of a disaster that would have crippled most clubs. He's not to blame, no one is. Although I still went the match and craved success, football was insignificant to me post Hillsborough and my heart just wasn't in it. Our reign had to come to an end anyway, like I'm sure Man Utds eventually will, at least on the pitch, just the way it is. Football is cyclical, and we should be looking to the future and a new era instead of constantly retreating into our past.
  5. You've got us on the ropes here mate, I must say. So glad you could fit us in around your appearances on Jeremy Kyle.
  6. He'll be cover for Arbeloa I reckon until we make right back a top priority position and can afford to splash out. Although, if the going rate for a top right back is 16 million I'd rather not bother. If he works out, great, if not we sell on and make a small profit.
  7. Rafa winds me up big style sometimes, but it's imperative that we back him and not give in to short termist temptation.
  8. David James and Phil Babb used to wind me up something silly.
  9. Not sure the options you've given us are very fair. I'm sure his 'intentions' for the club are to make money, but if he also has a blueprint for success, then I'd be prepared to listen to what his plans are. We're only football fans who crave success after all. I haven't bought any club merchandise since I was 12 anyway.
  10. Must be on a controversy bonus, the sell out.
  11. Lets get Keegan in, we're slowly metamorphosing into Newcastle fans anyway. Great post.
  12. People will believe any old rubbish.
  13. Roy Evans is a great man and Liverpool legend, and did a good job and gave the club its pride back after the nightmare years of the Souness reign. No point playing the blame game though. People forget just what impact Hillsborough had on the club. It ripped the heart and soul out of us, which in many ways we're still recovering from, starting with Roy and then Ged. A weaker club would have gone under. We're not doing too bad though are we? Istanbul was the greatest night of my footballing life, and I'll cherish that as much as any of the league titles we won in our heyday.
