From BBC website :- Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel has had the red card he received in Sunday's defeat at Liverpool rescinded by the Football Association. The visitors were 4-0 down when Friedel was sent off by referee Martin Atkinson for bringing down Fernando Torres. However, the American argued he went for a 50-50 ball and had nowhere else to go after Torres got to it first. The decision means Friedel will now be available for Villa's trip to Manchester United on Sunday 5 April. He's gonna keep a clean sheet this time :yes:

I heard some twat from Coral Bookmakers, Dave Stevens I think his name was, talking on the radio this morning about the latest betting following the weekend matches. He said, & I quote - "Nil-Nil at home to Stoke is a not title winning performance. Already, in September, you can put a line through Liverpool now, they will not be winning the League this year" then saying that we had gone out in the betting to 15-2 for the league. 15-2! What a nob-end, if you can put a line through us already then how about a bit of 100-1 action? I so want this guy to be eating his own shit next May.

BenÍtez is understood to have explored the possibility of such a move, but it would appear a remote prospect at a time when Liverpool are struggling to meet Aston Villa’s £20 million valuation of Gareth Barry.
