  1. Oh how I hate Rashid, but he just makes it so easy.
  2. TDSW The Double Standard Way. Bit too many letters to be catchy, mind.
  3. Gerrard Torres Mascherano Reina Carragher. Alonso needs to prove himself all over again.
  4. Back to DIC. Nothing new today then. IMMINENT
  5. Rash, the unfortunate situation for you is that on many occassions in the other DIC thread you mentioned a 'Muslim Enclave' at Anfield, and 'Arab preference' and all that jazz, clearly religious sentiments, so I guess it's you sow what you reap. Of course jihad is a bit forward, but you mentioned that as well. Jihad on Hicks and Gillett was it if I remember correctly? Oh well.
  6. theredhorse is annoying as hell. Fucking cunt.
  7. Oh I do feel sorry for you redhorse. I do.
  8. Yes, I do pity your adopted son, I truly do.
  9. He was a great player, but not a legend. Legends don't leave the club like the way he did.
  10. Been lurking for nearly 3-4 years now unregistered. Just reading snippets of information and so and so.
  11. Which is why the refinancing was opposed and stalled so much this time despite the two owners being in favour of it and the Life President and Chief Executive not being in favour of it. I highly doubt Moores will be anywhere near the club in the near future whether under Hicks or DIC. DIC will likely have Staveley come in after the part she's being playing, and Hicks will want any opposition out anyway, i.e. Moores and Parry.
  12. If Hicks was wealthy cash wise I think he'd be the perfect person for us. He's determined, he's got the drive, and he wants to succeed, but he's got no money of his own. If he had that we'd be set. Well I guess that's why he's trying to get Dubai in as a minority shareholder. The thing is with the influence even a 49% shareholder wields in the next refinancing, I suspect Hicks' number will be up unless he can operate forward without loans.
  13. Oh well. If the Arabs can wipe our debt and Hicks can build our stadium, personally I don't care.
  14. Dave said that a couple of times as well. Oh well :P
  15. Maybe Gillett is looking for a high enough offer not only to make a massive profit on but also one with Hicks just cannot match. This way he gets to leave with a fucking massive profit but prevents Hicks from getting his hands on the whole club. But that's dreamland. We're just going to continue in the modicum of shit everyday.
  16. Consideration, but not acceptance. Gillett is free to consider both but accept which he feels is best. Ditto with football. Club B have a bid accepted for for Player at Club A, who have agreed a first option deal with Club C for Player. Club C match Club B's offer, but Player has to decide who to join.
  17. That's essentially what first refusal is. Two people make an offer, but Gillett has to accept whichever he feels is better. Similar to a first option in football really.
  18. Personally I do think he likes to win, so we will compete, but it'll just be far too dictatorial a reign. The Stars have been consistently successful, even under Hicks, winning more points than anyone else with only the Red Wings and Devils having more. The Rangers are another story though. They've bought a large amount of mediocre players and haven't really consistently challenged for anything, but that's down more to the players than the management. I think he's an asshole in the way he's run our club so far, but he does like success, and I don't think we'll just be a cash cow for him. It's a rough ride that's for sure.
  19. If it's first refusal, it's just that. He makes the bid, but Gillett is under no real obligation to agree to it, but just allow Hicks to match the price. You want melodramatic, visit RAWK. Me, I'm annoyed that we're a sham of a club.
