  1. A strange old game that one. The sides looked about even but we just seemed to be a lot more organised with Grazy , Ged , Paul and myself prepared to put a shift in at the back and step forward when we can. Except for Cris it did not appear that Dan got any protection and at times it was like a shooting gallery. All our team played well and Nige and Ian were excellent as usual but i will go for Grazy and Paul as our MOMs. Cris gets my vote for their team and he gets better all the time. Roll on next week as i am enjoying playing at the moment.
  2. Everyone in ? Sides to be picked before tonight ? See at 8 and a half bells

  8. Last time i bring you along talkin shit , acting the big i am , not keeping score. It is not good enough.
  9. Guilty as charged. Still got the nosebleed from venturing that far upfield though.
  10. I agree with all that has been said which makes up for the fact the Zeke has moved extremely near to mine and we had to get the bus in together this morning. Seems that Dunce's taxi will be utilised every thursday night from now on ?
  11. it did last 45 minutes though ;)
  12. What a pleasant game that was tonight whilst some of the football from our team was like Brazil circa 1970 (not from me obviously) Kudos for Dave and Dave for a headed goal a piece and some wonderful pass and move football ably assisted by Ted and Ste. It was a joy to behold. Some wonderful constructed goals , an OG and a rocket from me for my annual goal. Full marks for Ged and John for solid defensive performances and Roger , well it was great to have the blonde bombshell back flirting with all and sundry. It was not all about us though and Mark's team fought their way back to ensure a close finale until Ian did a bunk. Some excellent crosses from Woo and Algeo as well i thought. MOM for us could have been anyone but i will go for Dave Moetown just above Ted , Dave U and Ste. For them i would say mark or Nige plus 2 lads who i don't know Anyone miss Al ? Me neither.
  13. Okey dokey Where are you living now then ?
  14. You are now the official score keeper Bagsy on mark's side
  15. Do you want me to give you a lift over and back afterwards ? Us posh Wirralites must stick together
  16. A jolly time will be had by all and just remember - We are all winners in this life . Except for me but that is a different subject alltogether.
  17. Moaning about the scores should be outlawed plus use of the C word to describe anyone on the opposition. It is , or should be , a friendly game between mates and any aggro about who won etc etc is for the playground not on a thursday night between mates. I have spoken , all heed my word for it is as if God had spoken.
  18. 1. Yah, yah, yah. Yah? 2. Ted 3. Ste Mc 4. Ged 5. Pierre 6. Mark 7. Dave U 8. Al 9. John G 10. Woo 11. Algeo 12. Dunce 13. Moetown 14. Nige 15. Ian 16. Hendy ? Sides to be picked before hand ?
  19. I am partial to a bit of DT and can still remember buying When dream and day unite from Penny Lane records back in '89. Mangini looks a hell of a drummer but they will miss Portnoy most as the spokesperson and general all round leader of the DT gang. Portnoy is also fab on the Transatlantic albums and on Neal Morse's solo albums even if the lyrics might not be to everyone's liking. A few other bands to check out who mix the prog with the metal - Tool Opeth Porcupine Tree Pineapple thief Anathema Threshold Shadow Gallery Symphony X Nevermore
  20. A watered down version of Stax for the white man. Sheet , you know nothing boy.
