  1. Not passing it off as grade a literature, just not arsed to post the same shit on 5 threads. That's how I feel anyway. We should remember there are even more important issues at our club right now than whether we win the league next season. For me Mourhino would be the worst thing that could happen and I mean that, a fucking car crash! Having read the rest of your posts "fucking twat" was probably a bit harsh, maybe deluded wanker would sum you up better.
  2. http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/forum/ff-football-forum/61007-benitez-2.html#post1123762
  3. Lets not forget what all the players say about him. I know it's the players job to get behind the manager when he's under fire but think about Torres saying the chance of working with Benitez was why he said yes to us and no to so many other teams. Think about Reina saying he wouldn't want to be here without Benitez. I think we are close now to building a team that can compete for the leabgue season after season and pick up other trophies along the way. We haven't had that since 1990, this is definitely our best team since then! When you think that even getting in the best manager available it would still probably take 3-4 years for them to make any improvement on what we have now, and we risk waiting another 20 years in the wilderness for another manager of Rafa's class to come around. This idea that change will bring around instant improvement is utter gash. Quite apart from the fact that there is noone better out there anyway, our entire side has a spanish flavour which someone else would have difficulty in holding together, we don't have big bucks to go and splash on a new team a la Chavski and the new manager, whoever he is will not have a tenth of Rafa's dignity and respect for our great club in a time when that is what we need even more than immediate success on the pitch - honestly, do people really want that or are we just all a bit bruised about going out the Champions league? People have short memories.
  4. Some great clips linked to this: Eamon Dunphy Appreciation Society <LegendaryDunphy> He's a twat btw but entertaining. Souness, now there's a cunt of grade A proportions!
  5. Great idea, start ANOTHER thread! If you want my opinions on this then look at the other one.
  6. Throughout all the shite with the yanks which looks set to run right through the close-season if not into next, the one stabilizing influence on our club in any position of power has been Rafa. I am sure he has had and will continue to have a direct influence on proceedings relating to the ownership of our club. Quite apart from the football side of things for now, which I would still keep Rafa on the basis of, Rafa is the one worthy custodian of power at Liverpool football club. Would you really chose the yanks and Parry to get someone as worthy?
  7. Sad about this. Wish we'd just done the surgery first time round rather than waiting for it to get better on it's own knowing that he was probably going to need an op in the long run anyway. I don't believe the bullshit about anything other than it being a broken foot. He'll be back next season likee the gaffer says.
  8. Anfield sadly. Big difference to the last couple of times. Then again El Barone isn't the manager Moanio was imo.
  9. I don't know whether this is still a valid thread about Rafa or not but I am going to reply as though it was. Basically my feeling is we cannot even begin to worry about Rafa's involvement until the ownership issue is well and truly over with and he can be judged on the field over a settled period. He is a great custodian of our club, a proper gentleman and a great manager who should always have our backing. I can't imagine the shitstorm if we change managers and owners in one fail swoop. You need some continuity in every takeover to avoid massive disruption. In the meantime Rafa will secure 4th and keep us challenging in the cups. Expecting anything better with the circus that's going on is a joke.
  10. Whereas ours...... Oh, wait a minute!
  11. Didn't hear the show - only the interview - what do they say about him?
  12. Hmm - expected more slating for my first post on here - not that I was looking for it. A bit early maybes...
  13. One thing that's come out of all this - for those who didn't already know - Parry is a fucking useless twat! What the fuck has he been doing!?!
  14. also here - middle of the page: BBC SPORT
  15. I don't like the two of them but their main offence over recent weeks has been inaction in the face of swirling tabloid sensation about them. If they continue to put down negative rumours and actually deliver on someof their promises now then surely they deserve to get a little more support. We have gone from slight concern to all out loathing in the last few weeks based off nothing but rumour and journalistic hyperbole. The one thing Hicks has said in that time got him in trouble was admitting the Klinsmann thing which everyone already knew - I still don't really understand why that alone got everyone so annoyed when we all knew it already. I'm not saying things are all rosy but hopefully now they will start to get better. I think committing to Rafa for the next 2 years was an immense statement and will improve on-field performance. Everybody had decided Rafa was gone because he hadn't been supported before - therefore they must have been sacking him. I really believe he will stay! If they build the stadium and we sign Mascher and a couple of quality attackers in the summer then I will not bne complaining.
  16. Was pretty sure Klinsmann was asked about it in his Bayern oress conference and admitted it, can't be arsed looking for the link now though.
  17. That is part of what I have been trying to say too. If everyone already believes that they talked to Klinsmann anyway and he then says they did then how does that make him more of a cunt?
  18. Right, well just to make my position clear, I think there has been far too much smoke surrounding the americans for me not to start thinking there's a pretty hearty fire roaring underneath, and some things - like the stadium debacle - aren't rumours any more, they're fact. I still don't think that either of those two are the demons people are trying to cast them as but I do see that they have shown at best incompitence and at worst dishonesty which does not bode well. That said, for me there is nothing in what Hicks has said today that has had any further negative impact on my opinions of the guys. Basically, Hicks was in a corner because his dealings with Klinsmann had been made public by the man himself and because newpapers had heard earlier and were piling up more and more pressure because of the rumours. Performances have been bad and I just think Hicks thought honesty - or the appearance of it - might be the best policy so he admitted the dealings with Klinsmann and tried to explain it and IN THE SAME INTERVIEW then went on to say that he and Gillet backed Rafa. I can see on here what the effect has been and there was probably no reason to mention the Klinsmann thing but if you look at what he's said in black and white then it actually isn't anything worse than we all already knew. The problem is nobody really believes that he has said everything he thinks and everyone thinks he has now admitted they were casing out Klinsmann so that obviously means there must be loads more that they're not admitting and they want Rafa out. I don't think that's true but I don't rule out that it might be true and if people want to think that then they probably have the right to given the cloak and dagger nature of previous dealings but based on what Hicks said today there's nothing worse than what we knew and the bonus of Rafa being backed. I think most of us would have wanted a statement of backing a few weeks back - maybe this is a bit late and ill advised.
