  1. You fecking plonker. How do you work out that it's for non-football reasons? Have you ever thought that it might be because he was poor enough for 2 seasons that many, including you, would happily have sold Alonso and stuck Gerrard in the middle. That's a footballing reason. How about maybe Rafa wants to play more mobile style that doesn't require a deep lying playmaker spraying 60 yard passes, instead preferring a shorter passing and pressing game based on Saccchi's AC Milan but modified to suit the Prem. In that case, you don't need a deep lying playmaker also shielding the defence when you've got a destroyer like Mascherano. That style also requires a defence that plays much higher up the pitch and some of Alonso's range of passing would be pointless. It's probably also why we will see Carra rotated out more, i.e. a requirement for the entire defensive line to be more mibile and the CBs to have a little pace. Is that footballing enough for you?
  2. As far as the insurance are concerned, and that's the important bit, the other driver is at fault. You were on the main carriageway and the accident happened moments after she joined the carriageway that you were already on. Snce the other driver was joining the carriageway, the onus is on her to ensure that she is making a safe manouver. Her fault all day, every day. Once the insurance confirm this, point it out to your mum, as proof that it wasn't your fault.
  3. No, I think that would be Rafa.
  4. As per my last post, maybe there's a Rash Jnr around and in training....
  5. Are there any Rashid Jnrs around? Maybe this one is a Rash Jnr in training?
  6. That'd be ANOTHER screwup by Coco Parry, then.
  7. Yer daft twat. The squad and various personnel would carry on regardless would they? You need leadership - even at LIVERPOOL. And the board, Parry and Moores were too busy worry about other things. I DON'T agree with everything the manager does. But he fact is that he's the manager and moaning about things I don't like isn't going to stop him doing what he deems necessary to achieve success on the pitch.
  8. Could you get someone to video it and stick it on YouTube, please. I should think it's a near certainty to happen and would be massively entertaining to watch.
  9. Yeah, it was the yanks, Rick Parry, and Davey "I trusted them fellas" Moores that held the club together over the last 2 years.
  10. Oh, now that is funny.... it really couldn't get much funnier... First, it's made up stats, like Beckham scoring 25+ and then Baraja and Vicente scoring 15+ every season. And now this amazing bout of amnesia. :D Thanks, Thants....
  11. Please show us where anybody has said that Rafa can do no wrong. And are you going to say that before this last season, he'd been a top performer for the previous 2? Granted he'd had injury issues, but 2 seasons off the boil for anyone else and you'd have offered to personally pay for their air fare out of Liverpool.
  12. Your source should lay off the sauce.
  13. Has anyone mentioned that he's a fat cunt? Fat Sham, that is....
  14. Exactamundo. Looks like Rash had one of his "moments" again. :D Baraja has never scored more than 10 goals in all club competitions: Rubén Baraja Profile, Statistics, News, Game Log - Valencia, Spanish Primera División - ESPN Soccernet Their left winger who supposedly scored 15+ is/was Vicente one of my favourite players before his injuries. But he never scored more than 14 in all comps and that was only one season - Rafa's last one at the Mestalla. His second higherst tally was 9 - for the 08/09 season otherwise his average was 3 goals per season. Vicente Profile, Statistics, News, Game Log - Valencia, Spanish Primera División - ESPN Soccernet
  15. Don't talk shit, Rash. The articles you'e quoting are late 2007 & early 2008 - after he'd turned into a star after playing for us and we were waiting for a decision to take up the option of a permanent deal, etc. You should have taken your own advice about not engaging in this chat.
  16. Not any more. Rash has stopped engaging in this chat, thank fuck.
  17. Of course you're not going to "engage in this chat" - you do that when your arguments don't stack up. It would be nice if you didn't engange in any chat at all.
  18. What's Josemi and Riise or anyone else got to do with this? The circumstances have already been explained. You don't even appear to understand the simple fact that in business, people and companies can make a loss when things don't go according to plan. Maybe Joorabchian fucked up and decided to cut his losses. That happens when something looks risky. Mascherano was a risky signing for anybody, after the West Ham debacle. As a general principle, in business, increased risk = lower value for the seller / higher reward for the buyer. Business basics, that. Who else was interested in taking on Mascherano and all the baggage? The legal complication, would the deal be rejected by the authorities, Kia and his cohorts, etc. Go on, name them. It took over a month for our deal to be ratified by the Premier League once we'd agreed it. And then even FIFA were involved with regards to playing for 2 clubs and all that crap. Go on, name these other clubs who were interested in buying a Mascherano who'd hardly played since leaving Corinthians. Or are you going to tell me that Mascherano playing 5 games in half a season and being behind Hayden Mullins in the pecking order was part of the Joorabchian's master plan. Tell me how Mascherano being made to look useless by the genius Alan Pardew was part of your mate Kia's master plan. Fucking genius, that. M'lud, members of the jury, I refer back to my earlier statement about the buzzies and a "No to drugs campaign". [Edit] Thanks for the maths lesson Rash, I didn't really need it. Well done on learning how to use a calculator, though.
  19. Re-read the last few pages of the thread. It's been stated before. The fee was in the region of £10.5m
  20. Bullshit . You don't have a clue as to how a standard loan/follow up purchase deal is structured. Seriously, the bizzies ought to use you as an advert for avoiding drugs.
  21. He was NOT sold for £8m! STOP MAKING THINGS UP! As I already said, I was told this by someone VERY reliable. E.g. called the Crouch transfer 4 months before anyone had a clue, stated that the yanks were about to do with the debt before most had a clue. His source was someone VERY high up at Anfield, who I won't name. One of the broadsheets reported it at the time f the transfer, another paper is reporteing it now. UEM has also said the same thing. Do you actually know someone with a source close to the top? Or are you simply arguing about it based on your own belief of what is/isn't possible?
  22. And how can you reject he fact that each year, our squad has improved. Maybe with the exception of last year's disasterous signing of Robbie Keane? Do you actually believe some of the shit you write? Or is it just a case of verbal diarrheah transcripted onto your keyboard before you you've had a chance to think about your little brain farts?
  23. Ties in with Barry saying that he didn't want to join Liverpool so that he could be shunted out to the left.
