  1. It said whenever possible. PS: I saw him play the entire match for Denmark with that broken hand and I'm pretty sure he can do it again 4 days after the injury.
  2. I suggest that he leaves well enough alone and plays the same CB's or indeed the same Back4 whenever possible. FINNAN CARRA AGGER RIISE That he finds some sort of middle ground in regards to the CM issue. Stop playing Gerrard O.O.P. Play 4-4-2 at home with Gerrard and Alonso and 4-5-1 away with Momo. Start Kuyt whenever his fit. Rotation should be kept at a minimum until this team finds it's balance and stabilizes. Limit rotation to RM, LM and the striker position. Garcia/Pennant Gonzo/Garcia/Zenden (Kewell) Crouch/Bellamy (Fowler) Sub Fabio with Riise when we are 3-0 up. Sub Alonso/Gerrard with Momo when we are ahead at Anfield. Change to a 4-4-2 away if needed and sub Bellars for Momo. Start with these 8 players everytime whenever it's possible at home and away: Reina Finnan Carra Agger Riise Gerrard Alonso Kuyt *Looks forward to more disrespect from the TLW hardliners*
  3. Get over the Koptalk issue WRTB. Pick up your pacifier and move on FFS.
  4. Has nothing to do with the WC. It's just Rafa's policy.
  5. Hardly rotated at all. Really? 9 different combinations in back 4 in 12 games! Goals conceeded with: RB - Finnan - Games - 11 - Goals - 12 RB - Kromkamp - Games - 1 - Goals - 1 CB - Agger - Games - 8 - Goals - 6 CB - Carra - Games - 9 - Goals - 11 CB - Hyypia - Games - 7 - Goals - 9 CB Pairs - Carra/Hyypia - Games - 4 - Goals - 7 CB Pairs - Carra/Agger - Games - 5 - Goals - 4 CB Pairs - Hyypia/Agger - Games - 3 - Goals -2 LB - Riise - Games - 5 - Goals - 5 LB - Warnock - Games - 3 - Goals - 2 LB - Aurelio - Games - 4 - Goals - 6 Line up: Finnan Carra Agger Riise = G - 1 Gls - 1 Finnan Carra Agger Warnock = G -2 Gls - 1 Finnan Carra Agger Aurelio = G - 2 Gls -2 Finnan Carra Hyypia Riise = G - 2 Gls - 3 Finnan Carra Hyypia Warnock = G - 0 Finnan Carra Hyypia Aurelio = G - 1 Gls - 3 Finnan Hyypia Agger Riise = G - 1 Gls - 0 Finnan Hyypia Agger Warnock = G - 1 Gls 1 Finnan Hyypia Agger Aurelio = G - 1 Gls -1 Kromkamp Carra Hyypia Riise = G - 1 Gls -1
  6. I hate the rotation in the back four. It will never work. The CM/Gerrard issue is also deeply disturbing IMHO.
  7. With Fabio and Garcia on the leftside you can't blame Agger or Carra for anything. The Turks havn't had that much space since The invasion of Cyprus in 1974!
  8. As long as Gerrard/Alonso and Carra/Agger had the strength to cover for Luis and Fabio we controlled the game. The first 45 mins we played them into the ground with power football. As the second half progressed the "back3" suffered from the "Fabio effect" and substitutions should have been made. That's when Momo was needed. After 55 mins and not before. The leftside was a defensive disaster last night but created so much in the first 45 mins going forward that we didn't suffer that much from it. The Turks had their chances with crosses from their RM in the first half as well because Fabio was not to be seen out there. Poor Agger. It's Sami and Traoé all over again. If Rafa had thrown Riise or even Warnock in after 55 mins and subed Garcia with Momo the two goals would never have happend. Reina - Does not inspire confidence in the defense these days. Looking more and more like Dudek every day. 4,5. Finnan - Wonderful cross for Crouch's goal. I love when he goes forward. He should be forced to make too runs every half upfield 7,5. Carra/Agger - Suffered from Fabios woeful defending. Agger basically played a CB and a LB at the same time. Carra spend too much time trying to close the gap. The entire Backline suffered from Fabio's exploits. Both goals came after initial crosses from our left side. I really don't think that they can be blamed for the two goals. It happens when the opponents gets to throw low pressure balls into our box time after time. They did well to hold down the fort for almost 60 mins! 6,5 for both. Aurelio - Woeful positioning and no defeding whatsoever. It's all good that he did better on the ball and made some runs and passes upfield but if you can't fulfill the primary target, namely to defend, then your just not cutting it! I can't wait to get Riise back! 4. Pennant - beat his man on several occations and looked really good in the first half. Created lot's of situations losing his marker. Really good 1st half. Lost a little in the second and needs more concentration on the final ball. Gave us drive and pace on the right wing in the 1st half and that is exactly what we need! 6,5. Alonso - The pace and movement on the ball is lightning when Gerrard is in the midfield. Looked a little dazed and we didn't really see a lot of him. 6. Gerrard - Just looks better at CM. Let's face it people. Gave us the speed we need in our passing and made us look like a team with drive and ambition. The first half was magic and this was all due to Gerrard. 7,5. Garcia - From hero to zero. Took the happy boots off in the break and he should have stayed off with them. 6. Kuyt - worked his ass off tonight as usual and looks sharp. Must be the best partner any striker could wish for in a 4-4-2! The reason Crouch could do what his good at. 7. Crouch - Finally gets to do what he was meant to do. To stay and lurk in the box. Looked sharp when he had to and scored a wonderful goal. Didn't back track anywhere near as much as he used to because of Kuyt. Well done Crouch. A striker strikes and that is all that matters. Fair play Crouch. 8,5 and MOM. Rafa - good team. We played the best football I have seen for a long time in the first half. Should have done something about Fabio sooner rather than later. 7,5 for three goals, 60 fantastic mins and Gerrard a CM! Player of the day: Sukur - What a player. If you didn't love him before you will now. Thank God this 'has been' was at Anfield to safe the day with his 'deadly skill'. Looks like a 2CV going off-road.
  9. Explain what? That you have to be pretty close to retarded, to even consider NOT swapping Momo for Ronaldinho. Do I really have to?
  10. Ahh, the poll is a joke. I see - my mistake. How amusing and what a relieve! Thx for the info, Mr. Doom.
  11. So 87 would NOT trade Momo for Ronaldinho. Even swap! Only 46 would say yes. I SAID GOD DAMN!! What a laugh. Are you completely out of touch? Is it a weird way to pay homage to a player who has done better than most expected? God damn folks - not even Momo's mother would reject such an offer if she was acting on Liverpools behalf. I think the poll is a monument over a total lack of objectivity. I hope so, because the other explanation is too painful to address! And it is, quite frankly, an embarrassment for the TLW web-site and level of football knowledge on display here.
  12. Yeah - thanks for that! Very insightful. Gerrard: Chelsea move had me popping pills tribalfooball.com - August 14, 2006 Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has revealed he swallowed painkillers "like smarties" as he considered leaving Anfield for Chelsea last year. In his autobiography, to be published next month, the Liverpool skipper describes the trauma of turning from hero to villain in supporters' eyes and paints a stark picture of the toll it took on his mental well-being. "Madness broke out," he said. "I was sitting dazed at home, watching the TV, and when I saw fans burning an old No 17 shirt by the Shankly Gates, it did my head in. Show some respect. Don't you know how this is tearing me apart? "Dad begged me not to go, but I replied, 'look at the TV, fans are burning my shirt, the club aren't stopping them, Liverpool don't want me any more'. "I stared at the TV through flowing tears. I was suffocated by stress. My head was banging, and I was eating paracetamol like Smarties. "It was the lowest point of my career. I broke down. Panic breakdown. Complete mess. Could I hand in that Liverpool armband? Could I look the father I adore in the eye again? "Could I let the Kop down? No. I couldn't jump over the edge of the cliff. I could see the great possibilities of Chelsea, but my heart wouldn't let me leave. "Finally, my mind was made up. At 11pm that night, on July 5, 2005, I called my agent to tell Rick Parry (Liverpool's chief executive) that I wanted to sign. "My heart stopped racing, and I put the paracetamol away. The following morning, I awoke with a smile on my face for the first time in weeks."
  13. THAT is just scary! Reminds me of the famous Dennis Pennis question to Hanks in Cannes when Apollo13 premiered: "Tom, I loved your new movie. It was completely lacking in atmosphere!"
  14. Was she ever in one? Please don't say "speed"! And you're right Dave - I have no idea who Will Warmer is...
  15. Haha. Cool. I knew that you had more to offer than insults. Listen - If I have come across as a defender of KT I can only say - sorry. It was stupid and not my battle. I have no idea (really) what it's all about but regretably that has never kept me from commentating (on anything) in the past and probably never will. Maybe it was because it was all so on-sided. Maybe it was because the issue came out of nowhere (The legendary Sunhat thread). Everybody was on that thread posting all kind of rubbish. We even saw an (alleged) imitation of DJ. Maybe you can appreciate how easy it was to take a stand even though one might not really give a shit. I know that the aggressive censorship is annoying. That I can relate to. The other issues is not for me to comment on. Fact remains - I think this is a topclass site, with some really good posters and I don't want to exclude myself because of certain 'hang ups' between 'the local boys'. In other words - You won't see me making an ass of myself on that account again. I probably will on other issues though... Peace out.
  16. Hehe, yes indeed. RedInSweden and WATB has asked me to post more on TLW. You know how it is! I have a pretty good idea who you might be...
  17. Well Mum, I love you too! You always get mean after the second bottle...
  18. And greetings to you as well my fellow Liverpool fan! I have no interest in your feud and I have absolutely no idea what your on about. I just came back from three weeks vacation. Your actually think that I have been "sent here"?! I really hope your kidding. For your own mental well being, if nothing else. For your information there are several KT posters on this site... Hope you have a good game tonight.
  19. Hi Sec31 - The jury is still out on that one or...? Have a good game tonight!
  20. What is "Koptalk"? :tease: I've heard "they" hate smileys as well
  21. Not really. I post on all sites. That's not allowed? Did I miss a memo? "As of tomorrow, employees will only be able to access the building using individual security cards. Pictures will be taken next Wednesday and employees will receive their cards in two weeks." (Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, WA.)
  22. Hi All! I just wanted to say hello as well. I work with stocks in Copenhagen (Denmark) and have supported Liverpool since 77. I found TLW through one of the many aggressive TLW "marketing campaigns" on another Liverpool site. Little known fact: I am the bastard love child of "WeAreTheBest" and "RedInSweden".
  23. Has to be England. Awful boring football. Mostly overrated players. Too bad they didn't meet Germany in the 1/8.
