  15. Steve has been DJing for nineteen years now, and has built up his well-respected profile through playing alongside the world's best DJs both nationally and internationally. After the Acid House explosion in the late 80s, he refined his musical style to encompass House Music. He built up his reputation from this point by playing at popular northern clubs, culminating with him playing at the seminal Shellys in 1991 where a young Sasha, Dave Seaman & Dave Ralph were all resident DJ's. His name has been synonymous with quality underground house music due to his successful residencies at early Northern house nights Bliss @ Fallows and The Pleasure Drome where he played alongside of Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Nipper, basically the heroes of the day! To describe Steve's musical style, you would have to say he plays 'Progressive', in the respect that he is always at the forefront of new sounds and his music has as a progressive edge, but that can encompass house, tech house, acid house, a dash of electro, techno and an underground classic dropped for good measure... He moved into production and collaborated with Evolution to produce 'Jawa', a tribal edged progressive belter that was heavily supported by Danny Howells, Sander Kleinenberg, Timo Maas, Saeed & Palash, Anthony Pappa and the rest of the progressive mafia. Steve is about to go back in the studio working on several remixes, plus own productions, aswell as launching his own Loophole recordings label in the not too distant future. Like all great DJs he as just at home playing in the sunset on the terrace at Cafe Mambo or to the 'beautiful people' in Pacha in Ibiza as he is 'ripping it up' in a dark dirty warehouse. Also Steve is the only DJ ever to have DJ-ed at the Tate Gallery for the launch of an exhibition called 'Pop Culture', which was a real honour for him, some other very notable gigs include Renaissnace and John Digweeds Bedrock. Steve's daytime is taken up managing the world famous 3 Beat records in Liverpool, with its vast mail order department and servicing the worlds premier DJs from Digweed, Seaman, Oakenfold, Pappa & Howells & to Sneak and Graeme Park. Steve liases with the DJ's to help them find those 'special tunes' to the DJ's (local, national and international) on top of their game. Steves international career has taken him to Russia, Taiwan, Costa Rica, Norway,Finland, France, Greece, Norway, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal as well as his regular Mexican gigs, were Steve attracts big crowds. In the UK Cream have taken Steve under their wing with him playing all of thier Liverpool gigs, playing along side Morillo, Sasha, Kleinenberg, Lalwer, in fact most big dj's of today! plus recently Steve enjoyed playing his first festival gig, which was Creamfields in the MTV arena with Sander, Sasha, Seaman, Fancuilli, Way Out West, Infusion and a whole host of others. Other residencies for Steve include 'Aztec', where Kleinenberg, Howells, Yousef, Emersson, Futureshock, Oribital, Lexicon Ave, Terry Francis, Lee Coombs are forging the new sound of Liverpools cool clubs, and @Jambossa' at the carling accademy with dj's like Steve Angello, Matthew Dekay, Paul Harris, Quivver and Greg Vickers recently playing, also Steve guests at many of Liverpools cooler clubs, be it playing cool house sets, peak time main room, or back room sets, chilled bar sets and even classics nights!! Juice FM, Liverpool employs Steve to host a weekly radio show called 'The Red Zone', were Steve plays his favourite tunes of the moment, as well as featuring the Worlds premier league DJ's as guests. Recent guest dj's on his show have included Sasha, Digweed, Howells, Cox, Garnier, Lawler, Rampling, the list goes on and on! With a few exciting things up his sleeve, including new residencies, his label and more studio work the future is an exciting prospect for Steve Parry worldwide bookings: contact@A51djs.com
