  1. Team news for this evening's fixture at Leicester. Davies; Bradley, Williams, Koumetio, Beck; Morton, Clarkson, Norris; Bearne, Stewart, Elliott. Subs: Kelly, Quansah, Clayton, Corness, Balagizi. Good to see Layton Stewart starting again. Also good to see Harvey getting a run out for the 23s - Get some much needed game time into his legs.
  2. The 23s are in action this evening as they take on Leicester away. Kick-off at 19:00, though no live coverage of the game, unfortunately. Team news coming soon.
  3. Full-time: Sunderland 2 Liverpool 3 Cannonier's late strike was indeed the winner. Good 3 points for the lads on their travels. Keeps the very slim hopes of the PLU18 title alive, though City will be 7 points clear if they win today, with 3 games still to play.
  4. Sunderland 2 Liverpool 3 Cannonier grabs what should hopefully be the winner in stoppage time.
  5. Sunderland 2 Liverpool 2 Former Sunderland youngster James McConnell has us level again. Around 20 minutes left to play.
  6. Sunderland 2 Liverpool 1 The home side are back in front with an early second-half goal. Also, Lee Jonas was replaced just before half-time due to injury, with Tommy Pilling taking his place - Assuming that Luca Stephenson has dropped back into the back 4 as a result of this change.
  7. Sunderland 1 Liverpool 1 Luke Chambers converts from the spot after a foul on Frauendorf.
  8. Sunderland 1 Liverpool 0 An early goal for the hosts.
  9. The 18s are in action today with an away fixture against Sunderland. Game should have just kicked off. Unfortunately, no live coverage of today's game. Team news courtesy of @LewisBower2021 over on Twitter. XI - Mrozek; Osborne, Chambers, Jonas, Scanlon; Stephenson(c), McConnell; Musialowski, Frauendorf, Clark; Cannonier Subs: Hewitson, Pilling, Koumas
  10. Ben Doak signing looks to now be completely done.
  11. Mentioned in a post prior to this - Ramsay has similar pace to Trent. Neither are what you'd qualify as quick, but they're quick enough. I also think that with better coaching/sports science, Ramsay could add just a touch more pace. It's pretty much where Ramsay is at. He has made visible progression for The Dons since he first broke into the first-team squad. His defending is OK, there is certainly room for improvement - as with almost all young defenders, especially those at fullback. There are not many 18-year-old defenders that are Liverpool level, in fairness... Conor has certainly come a long way in the time he's been with the club and he has been rewarded with the international call-ups and caps. More of a Robbo type fullback than a Trent type, but he's a promising young player that certainly has the potential to play at a good level. I'm a fan. For a fee of ~£5 million, we'd be getting a player with high potential and one who already has a decent experience of senior football, however, I just don't know that Ramsay is quite ready for such a jump in quality just yet. In an ideal scenario, we'd be bringing the lad in and sending him straight back to Aberdeen on a season-long loan, but that would still leave us looking for a suitable deputy to Trent.
  12. Full-time: Wolves 1 Liverpool 5 One of the better performances of the season. Controlled the game from the off and looked a threat going forward all game. Luca Stephenson was excellent in the middle of the park.
  13. Koumas on for McConnell for the last 10 minutes or so.
  14. Shunter just mentioned that Bajcetic is still in recovery from the injury he picked up. He seems to think that we’re not likely to see Bajcetic again this season.
  15. Osborne on for Frauendorf. A good hour for the young German.
  16. Wolves 1 Liverpool 5 Fantastic from Harvey Blair to get himself the goal his performance has deserved. Picked up the ball just inside the Wolves half and drove forward, got himself into the box holding off a couple of defenders. He slipped and fell over under pressure from the defenders, but still managed to get an effort away that flew past the home keeper and in to the far corner.
  17. Wolves 1 Liverpool 4 Bobby Clark with a simple header at the far post from Cannonier cross. Harvey Blair slid a lovely little pass down the inside right channel for Cannonier to chase, Oakley rounded the keeper but the angle was too tight for a finish, so he picked out Bobby Clark with a nice controlled chipped pass to the far post where Bobby headed home unchallenged.
  18. Half-time: Wolves 1 Liverpool 3 A deserved lead at the break for the lads.
  19. Wolves 1 Liverpool 3 Balagizi gives the ball away too easily and the home side punish the mistake with a nice finish slid into the far post beyond Davies.
  20. Wolves 0 Liverpool 3 Cannonier at it again. A nice little flick header from close range. Nice movement from Oakley to get on the end of Stephenson's cross from the right.
  21. Wolves 0 Liverpool 2 Cannonier with the second goal. Finishing from close range from a Harvey Blair cutback from the left. Harvey had done well to chase down a strongly hit pass, keep the ball in play before picking his head up and picking out the unmarked Cannonier.
  22. Wolves 0 Liverpool 1 Luke Chambers sends the keeper the wrong way from the pelanty spot after Bobby Clark had been tripped in the area.
  23. A very attacking lineup this afternoon, with Frauendorf playing at right-back for the first time. Davies; Frauendorf, Jonas, Chambers, Scanlon; Stephenson, McConnell, Balagizi; Blair, Cannonier, Clark. Subs: Hewitson, Osborne, Hayes-Green, Koumas, Pilling.
  24. The 18s are in action this afternoon as they travel to Wolves for a 14:00 kick-off. The game is being shown live on the offal, with coverage starting at 13:55. Team news once it's available.
