Why do you think they would be tempted? They've admitted they don't know that much about the game so it wouldn't make good business sense for them to make an uninformed decision like that. I would expect they would refer to Parry.

I don't think Rafa would want a squad that large Rashid, especially when the players in that list would expect a lot of first team football. That still doesn't discount the importance of how much we have actually spent though.

My boss and I don't have the same goals, they want to make money with the best return on investment and I want a successful project with my reputation intact. Liverpool Football Club can make a profit without winning the league, would the profit margin be larger if we won the league or not? That is the question.

I don't know where that 120m figure comes from. I believe his positive comments regarding the squad are chosen to instill some confidence in the players at the start of the season. I'm not happy with both parties here, this is not how it should be done at all. Some people on here believe Rafa has had no other option but to communicate through the media and the more I think about it the less I agree with this. It's just not professional, it's like me discussing internal business problems with my customer; you just don't do it. If it was me in Rafa's position I would lay out what was needed and make it known that if the requests are not met the result would be that we cannot successfully complete the project. It would then come down to whether I would be happy to work in that situation or not, I'd leave immediately.

I wasn't one of the people during the pre-season who was upset about the 'net spend' or lack of funds available. What I am upset about is that the situation is being painted as 'Rafa has had a shit load of cash already'.

I don't think he was forced to sell them but that doesn't make the actual amount spent a pointless figure. Do you believe we would have bought the players we bought without selling? I don't.

The thing that annoys me about the latest comment from Hicks is that he's basically telling Rafa how to do his job. What the fuck does this man know? It's so fucking condescending.

I don't think he has any other option Paul, it's terrible to see though. None of us have experienced this kind of shit before; owner and Manager basically treating each other with contempt.

Also the media and the owners talking about the HUGE amount that was spent in the Summer, with every article the amount spent goes up. Nowhere do they talk about how much was actually spent i.e net spent.
