  1. I think he's just being greedy not wanting to ask for a transfer and say goodbye to % of the deal? I feel confident he'll move, but not to sure we can do much more than loan him out. All depends on the offer, but his salary and age will put a few clubs off. Anyway, this is the first time he opens up to a move away and that at least a start.
  2. Poulsen could be on his way after given this interview after last night games against Scotland - Poulsen played 45 min.: "I need a clarification on my future here in August - and preferably as fast as possible. And I must get back to getting games regularly again," says Christian Poulsen to sporten.tv2.dk. Need club football This is also indirectly captain statements that it may be necessary to change clubs in order to fulfill the mission. "Obviously, I'd love to play football, so I hope that I will," says Christian Poulsen, the question of the future may lie elsewhere than at Anfield. "Personally, I hope there soon will be a clarification and I will play some games on a club team. I need." Poulsen indleder august-mission - TV 2 Sporten
  3. Is Meireles still injured or could he make the bench? I think the lineup is more or less a given since we still have quite a few players out with injuries. The bench doesn't look that promissing should we run into problems, but maybe Kenny will surprise us again with the lineup?
  4. Yeah, that's the same reservation I have regarding this. I think Jay would get plenty more games at Wolves than here - especially if we don't sell Aquilani and Meireles. In the end it probably depends on whether we play with 2 or 3 in the middle? I think Kenny would like to mix it up a little, so maybe there's enough games to be had for him here?
  5. Express and Star saying that Wolves want Spearing on a season long loan. Think that could be great for him playing weak in weak out. Wolves eye Jay Spearing loan move « Express & Star Wolves want Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing on a season-long loan to complete their summer signings. Manager Mick McCarthy has identified the pint-sized 22-year-old as the man to add bite to his central midfield. Spearing has recently signed an extension to his contract and is highly-rated by Anfield manager Kenny Dalglish, with 20 of his 27 senior appearances for the Reds coming last season. But Liverpool see a loan for Spearing, who had an 11-match loan spell at Leicester in 2009-10, as the best way to continue his development and they are likely to agree to him moving to Molineux. Wallasey-born Spearing fits the Wolves profile as being young and hungry and is an infectious character who is a real livewire in the middle of the park. McCarthy also watched Liverpool’s 20-year-old centre-back Daniel Ayala on loan at Derby last season. But Wolves still need to offload first before anyone is allowed to come and they are highly unlikely to buy anyone else now this summer. That means McCarthy’s planned move for a left-back looks like being shelved for now. Read more: Wolves eye Jay Spearing loan move « Express & Star
  6. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem right at all. There's been nothing in the Danish media on this and even the facts are wrong in the article. Poulsen left Copenhagen for Schalke in 2002. Wouldn't believe Click Liverpool to be the first with any real news anyway.
  7. Lets get Paco back then or maybe Fowler?
  8. Ah, pretty new to this twitter shit. Would have thought a guy with some 50.000 followers would be legit, but all the same then. Hope he goes to Barca.
  9. Seems very real to me? Twitter
  10. We've done it 'the Everton way'.
  11. Anyone know why Dejan Lovren only got 28 games (wiki) for Lyon in 1,5 season?
  12. Think Glen Johnson have been very impressive also defensively since Kenny and Clarke came in. If they can improve that side of GLichy he'd be an absolute steal at that price!
  13. Ben Smith have a link to Tony Barrett piece in tomorrows Times. I guess that the one with the 'new' target? http://thetim.es/iJYza7
  14. And to follow up: I take it he would know a thing or two? @DuckerTheTimes James Ducker I'm told Phil Jones may also be having a medical at Liverpool today #LFC10 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone

  16. Hmm, think there's a few things wrong in this article - hopefully it's all nonsense: EXCLUSIVE Man United beating Liverpool to Phil Jones - but will have to pay Blackburn £16million Published 23:01 07/06/11 By Alan Nixon Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is bidding to win the race for Blackburn's England under-21 star Phil Jones - but he will HAVE to offer £16million to get him. Fergie has switched his search for a new defender to the talented Jones who is seen as Rio Ferdinand's long-term successor and the Old Trafford chief has told his money men to get him as part of a £80million spree. Man United, Chelsea and Barca locked in megabucks battle for £30million striker The veteran boss now wants Jones as well as Aston Villa's Ashley Young at £18million and Atletico Madrid keeper David De Gea at the same price - but faces a price hike to land Udinese's Alexis Sanchez. The United chief reckons he can get Jones for less than Blackburn's price - a fixed fee in the young giant's contract - but Rovers insiders insisted they will 'not take a penny less' than that price. Ferguson is confident he can see off rivals Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham in the chase. Kenny Dalglish is determined to land his target but will also have to pay the full £16million. However Fergie thinks the lure of United - even if Jones would probably not go straight into the side - will be too much for the Lancashire lad and he will match Liverpool if the auction soars to that level. Blackburn boss Steve Kean, who flies to India to meet the club's owners today, knows he faces a losing battle to keep Jones. But he is reluctant to take swaps as that would mean big wages and stop him signing the men he wants. 18. redmedic56 Tom Keegan @ @TonyBarretTimes what do you make of all the juan Matta talk, i mentioned him on the forum as a player I would love to sign. 39 minutes ago in reply to ↑ @TonyBarretTimes Tony Barrett @redmedic56 Don't think there's anything in that one Tom. Good player tho. 37 minutes ago via Mobile Web
  19. Regarding Tony's piece I kind of miss a mention of Phil Jones in there? Hopefully we're getting him aswell. He didn't say anything on any defenders, so here's hoping.
  20. I'm not saying I don't understand that his price is probably at least £15mill. You're points are all sound and he will improve us a lot, alltough it probably won't be with fancy trickery and stepovers that price wingers tend to dish out to steal the show. He ain't flashy or even particularly eyecatching, but he might be a much better players for us than someone like Young. At least Downing seem very keen on coming here. I'd like to see it happen. I just hope we got money for yet another winger with perhaps even more pace.
  21. Not much talk of Mata these days - it seems to be more Downing now, but I think a lot of people are put of by the rumoured fee?

  23. Here's an update regarding Agger. Apparently it's News of the World who got the story and not the Echo. Don't know if it's Bascombe or not, but here is a translation of the latest from another Danish media: Liverpool ready to sell Daniel Agger sources on Merseyside tell tv2sport.dk that Liverpool are ready to sell the Danish defender Daniel Agger, as was reported Monday. If the price is otherwise appropriate. Daniel Agger made today in connection with a move to Leverkusen, who allegedly offered the entire 11 million euros - equivalent to around 82 million dollars. ALSO READ: Agger procure 100,000 to soldiers - starts fund And now reads message across tv2sport.dk that Liverpool are ready for a sale of the Dane. Will sell at the right price Without confirming the story of a concrete bid from Leverkusen is true, says sources in Liverpool, the English big club is willing to drop the Danish center defender, if the price is otherwise correct. Liverpool are reportedly worried that Daniel Agger could ever get rid of the many injuries that have caused significant problems since the switch from Brondby in 2006. Daniel Agger, who has repeatedly denied that he would be moving away from Liverpool, joined the Premier League last season on the injury list. He was not there when Denmark at the weekend defeated Iceland 2-0. The defender has played a total of 136 matches and scored seven times for Liverpool. The club has this summer been linked with both Bolton's Gary Cahill and Dejan Lovre from Lyon, who both play in central defense.
