  1. I wonder why Nagelsmann isn’t mentioned as one of the favourites for the job. He’s managed RB Leipzig, Bayern München and now Germany, and he’s only 36! And he’s available in the summer. Also, he did win the Bundesliga with BM, but I guess that should be expected.
  2. Top, top Hitlerjugend analysis of Leicester’s new manager.
  3. Top, top «abomination of a footballer» analysis there.
  4. Here’s a thought - not very original, but still: Let Gomez play right back and move Trent up to midfield. Strengthens both the defense and the midfield as Gomez is better than Trent defensively, and Trent, for all his defensive errors, is still far better than Elliott defensively.
  5. «He must have smashed a black cat over the head with a mirror while standing under a ladder when he was at the World Cup.» Top, top superstition analysis there.
  6. I meant a Leeds player of course but in my defence Napoli were actually at Anfield warming up as I wrote that. «Napoli on my mind» you know. Instead of Georgia.
  7. Top, top «shades of shite» analysis there. The first goal is 100% on Gomez in my opinion. He doesn’t even look up to see where the keeper is or if there is a Napoli player nearby before he plays the ball.
  8. With all this hate of yours flowing, Dave, you could have been a Dark Lord of the Sith. «I can feel your anger. It gives you focus, makes you stronger.»
  9. Who wrote this, by the way? I refuse to believe that Dave has written an entire report from a match against West Ham without calling them «Tory bastards» and ridiculing Moyes.
  10. Top, top Milner contribution analysis there.
  11. 23 comments and still no «Top, top [insert topic] analysis there»?!? I’ll start with «Top, top Lampard’s hair analysis there».
  12. This «VAR can only interfere if it should have been a penalty or a red card» or whatever it now is has to be changed. Get rid of the lawyer talk and introduce some common sense into it. Not giving a freekick to Cucurella in that hair-pulling incident was as «clear and obvious» an error that you’ll ever see.
  13. Top, top Rihanna lyrics joke, too. But listening to Rihanna isn’t very hip, I think?
  14. I reckon we try to win every game but when we take the lead, we change our mind and decide to settle for a draw. Just ask Brentford, City, Brighton, Spurs, or Chelsea.
  15. Good article. The two defeats do not anger me that much as every team has a bad day or some bad luck from time to time. The «problem» is our tendency to give away the lead, and the fact that City is, to continue with the Bon Jovi references, a «Runaway».
  16. But then we would finally see a team refusing to come out for the second half when they played Everton with their violent shenanigans.
  17. Regarding Konsa’s second goal and a possible offside, I don’t think it matters whether that Villa player behind Schneichel is behind the goalline or not as long as he is considered not to be«interfering with play». And I’m pretty sure that «one hand on the ball is enough»-rule has been around for ages.
  18. «Playmobil Pep» has a nice ring to it, though. A short and sweet alliteration.
  19. Top, top hairdo analysis there. But isn’t Arteta’s hair more Playmobil than Lego?
