    I'll send an invite although the way my team are playing at the moment don't think it'll be much of a contest as I've seen that the team you've taken over are very strong!

    Got a really bad change report. Three of my players which rated best all year lost skill levels while players who had average form of over 15 and 100% match experience also gained no skill levels at all. It really is a strange report! i was definitly expecting the young forward i bought last year to increase as he had 100% experience and 20 form and 19 average form yet no difference at all, not even in the hidden skill level! Oh yeah and got bet 5-0 in a friendly against Aston Village People! :wallbutt:

    Your result didn't make a difference in the end; team wasn't good enough with the injuries and suspensions to even run february Stars close on last day. Pity as everything was going well up to then Well done on keeping your status in div 1! Maybe we'll have a friebdly again before the new season?

    Got relegated today but it was always going to be difficult to keep the team up when they only had 4 points from 13 games before i took over. Todays game was dissapointing though as it was my first defeat in those 5 games but the team i was able to put out due to injuries and suspensions against February Stars was very weak with a 16 and 21 year strike force. I'd say this team is going to struggle again next year though as one of my best midfielders is retiring while some of my best players are definitly going to go down in ratings in the change report as they had average form of less than 10 to finish the season. So not really looking forward to the change report but overall still looking foward to improving this team for next year; maybe get a bit of a cup run going or something.

    Yeah I've been doing that but what i'm asking really is like what PB was saying earlier about people not picking tactics yet still winning is some of it just down to chnace in terms of form going up or down? I mean if a player has good form and puts in a very good performance how can his average form drop?

    Today's result was actually a result that if i had more than i game left to go or if other results had went my way i would have been very happy with as Revolution are a top team. The point i did get though came at a big cost in terms of injuries and suspensions, with the upcoming change report in mind. A young defender who i hoped would get a positive increase in the change got injured today and saw his average form drop from 13 to 9 which means no increase for him even though he has 100% match experience as he won't be back in time to increase his average form. Also how exactly does the average form work? I thought that if your form improved u should see an increase in average form after the game depending on the rating achieved. I have a defender who has been in the expert 11 for the last 3 weeks in a row yet his average form has dropped to 9 from 13 eventhough he is getting ratings of 12 stars and over everygame. Are some of the details in the game just made up? Anyway enough of a rant i must go think of a way to beat February stars and stay in this division!:ermm:

    No luck there for you i'm afraid and i think that result for your team has definitly put me down. The only hope i have of staying up now is if i beat february Stars and you get bet by a few goals so i might stay up on gal difference! Can't see it happening so i think i'll start planning for next season!

    I know i was just talking to some mates here and was saying that i couldn't believe how poor he was tonight after the praise i was giving him today! I won't make any kneejerk reactions to that performance but he was very poor tonight, hopefully that'll be the only one for the year!

    I agree completly it was only because O neill wanted to keep what he had that allowed Utd back into the game. It may have already been said in some threads on Sunday but i think Villa were in control of the game until O'Neill decided to take of Milner. Fair enough he was at fault for a shocking backpass in the first half but played really well after that and i was suprised when he replaced him with Reo-coker. Once that change was made their shaoe changed and they seemed happy to contain Utd while up to then they kept trying for another goal. This talk of O'Neill being a super manager has been left with major questions marks over it in the last few weeks - many baffling decisions have certainly cost them the 4th place finish they craved and more importantly for use i think his decision cost us the chance to stay ahead of Utd.

    I don't agree with that especially when you talk about most of our full backs especially Aurelio as he is also a very talented defender and technically one of the best players at the club so having tactical awareness is an extra feather in his bow so to speak. I think that the way we play, Rafa likes all his players to have tactical intelligence (or game intelligence i think he calls it) so that they can fill in for others when they venture forward leaving space exposed. You see this happening a lot at Liverpool although it is often more noticeable when it's a wide player filling in for a full back. And whats so bad about fat girls with great personalities?:whistle:

    I wouldn't say it's a pisstake at all, he is probably one of the most tactically aware full backs in the league and has great positional sense. Very rarely will you find him out of position and can anyone name a game where he has been outclassed by the opposing winger as i can't remember any. He is also one of the most technically gifted defenders in the league as was seen by his seemless transition into centre midfield recently in which he put in an excellent performance

    Does that mean the battle to stay in the league that i'm putting up is for nothing as i'll still stay in division 1 regardlless if we go to 8x4? No seriously though if the league is finding it hard to sustain its numbers then it probably should be an option to be looked at.

    Yeah not sure, i mentioned it on here a couple of weeks ago messing as i asked was he a reporter and that it was a coincedence that we both reported exactly the same on the match. I think it highly unlikely this could happen twice in a row:whistle: I think they are actually good to read sometimes, gives people an opportunity to tell others whats going on in their team

    Does anyone fancy a friendly in the Ultra league? I'm trying to get some young players match experience up before the end of the season and need some more games.

    Just saw you bought a young forward for over 20mil in the CL; you must have more money than the rest of the league put together, how bug is your transfer kitty now? I think the rest of us can only dreamof a squad like yours, although that alone doesn't guarantee success, but it certainly helps!:drool:

    Yeah it's mainly down to your keeper, you really need a keeper with a higher skill rating than 5! My keeper is bad enough and he's rated as a six. My first job during pre-season is like yourself a new keeper and a couple of new midfielders although I need to replace my captain who's retiring as well. Don't know where all this money is going to come form!:|

    PB i took your advice but have taken over a strong team called Barcelona Hobbits; in fairness i'd say whoever had this team before me must have had them for a while as there a lot of players with skill ratings of 10 or over. Also got a very good change report with 7 increases in skill and no reduction that removed any visible skill levels.

    You certainly got a good change report thats a lot extra skill points there, sure even if you have to buy some form trainging it'll still work out cheaper than having to buy players to give you the skills increase you've just received

    Just saw my change report in the CL; I thought i had taken over a piss poor team, jesus it's after getting worse! 5 players went down in skill levels one even dropped down to a 2! I sense a long struggle with this bunch of wasters! Hopefully the transfer market will be kind to me!

    I think Kuyt definitly deserves his place in any league or champions league winning squad. His work ethic is amazing, you can rely on Dirk to all give 100% we all know he has some poor games but what player doesn't? How many goals do we concede from the right hand side of the pitch? Very few is my guess as Kuyt offers Arbeloa excellent defensive cover and in fairness to him even when he is having a poor game he does not hide from the ball. Can you tell me any wide midfielder (with the exception of Ronaldo) that has more goals than Kuyt this year? I can understand why some get frustrated with him, but to say he doesn't deserve his contract extension is unfair as he has been our best wide player for the last few seasons chipping in with some very valuable goals on the way. Having said that i would still liek to see up strenghten the wide areas this summer but not at the expense of Kuyt but to allow us to play different systems when needed.

    Robbie I hope you win next week against Whalleys Reserves then all i have to do is very easy really, just beat at least one of the top 3 teams in the league!:(
