  4. Carroll Bellamy Spearing Enrique, Skrtel and Agger was very good aswell.
  5. Okay. A little challenge for you. Go to Music News, Reviews, Articles, Information, News Online & Free Music | Billboard.com . Choose hot 100 and choose chart archive. Find out what song were topping the list the day you were born. Then post a you tube clip in this thread. I`ll go first. 26th of November 1972 At first I was really happe when I thought Johnny Cash were topping the list. I guess this is the typical so close, yet so far away!
  6. Having a go at Johnson, while having Enrique as the 2nd best? Makes no sense to me. I think Enrique gets a few free points after this match based on his overall season form which has been very good, but he was not good against City. His decision making was very poor, his crossing (not alone though) was rubbish and he was the main reason why we conceded the third. I think this was his worst performance since arriving. I agree Spearing and Henderson did well though. I would go for... Spearing Henderson Skrtel/Agger ( cant separate them )
  7. Im pretty sure had Henry Winter and other british sports journalists been around in 1962 im pretty sure they would have told the South African people to stop supporting Nelson Mandela. He had after all been given a just trial and were convicted for a crime. Im also pretty sure they would have liked Nelson Mandela to apologize to the government as well.
  8. It was`nt KOP though. Paddy told me he asked KOP and Knut said it was`nt him. That`s why he thought it was me, as he thought he had a scando sounding voice, whatever that is.
  9. I`ve just posted this on the MF, but it was probably more appropriate here, as it was often the GF that was Paddy`s home here. Im not sure everyone knows Rob is struggling with some health issues? He was blinded for a while but is getting some eyesight back. While he struggled the most a poster here phoned him and left a message, and he wanted to show his appreciation, but he dont know who it was. He wanted me to pass on this message I got from him on fb, if all you good people dont mind. He said the voice on the message had a scandinavian tone over it, so whomever it was, he really needed it and appreciated it at the time.
  10. If I remember correctly... the last time we went to Wigan with Bellamy in the side he scored a brace in a 4-0 win. I sense a repeat.

    Pearl Jam

Probably. They`re known for absolutely fantastic live shows. Usually 2 1/2 hour, 30 song set lists. Saw them live in Oslo in 2000 and they blew my mind away. Seen quite a few live shows in my life, but nothing compares. Thankfully since they released their tour on bootlegs I have that show on cd. And currently more than 20 of those performances have been granted place on my overfilled Ipod nano, an ipod that is due a replacement pretty soon. Ace live band.
  12. Managed to get hold of tickets for their show in both Stockholm and Oslo, even though both were sold out within minutes. Happy days. Anyone on here going to the Manchester gig?
  13. Kenny Loggins... now there`s a name that put me back in the 80`s.
  14. In my experience if you post a lot of shit, then you`ll get a lot of shit. All this melodramatic bullshit is cringeworthy. If you want to leave, then leave. Simple as that.
  15. The coldplay thread got me thinking. I guess most of us has bands/songs they kind of like, that they dont go around bragging about. So here`s the challenge. Take your ipod/mp3 player put in on shuffle start it up and post the first 10 songs that arrives. Then let the pisstaking commence. But be honest... i`ll go first. 1. Når knoklene blir til gele - Raga Rockers 2. View of the rain - Urge Overkill 3. Better Days - Bruce Springsteen 4. Cold Roses - Ryan Adams 5. Each Little Mystery - Seven Mary Three 6. Monkeywrench - Foo Fighters 7. Nearly Lost You - Screaming Trees 8. Brain Of J. - Pearl Jam 9. Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes 10.Rusty Cage - Johnny Cash phh... Could have been worse.
  16. Suarez Skrtel Adam Agger and Maxi unlucky to lose out. Henderson also did well, while I think Downing also improved, especially in the 1st half.
  17. It`s not that simple. Playing him in right midfield would not give him the spaces to attack that he gets coming from deep at right back. Playing him in midfield, will se him make more inward runs to create space for the fullback. It`s completely different. Also the vulnerable defensively aspect. He can be defensively suspect. But so do any other attacking full backs of his kind. Alves at Barcelona. Playing for a team like Barcelona, that keeps hold of the ball almost 75% of any match covers up his defensively shortcomings. In the end it`s all about balance. Do you want a player to stay back and play it safe? Or do you want someone with the ability to create moments like today?
  18. Skrtel Agger Reina The third could just as easily gone to Lucas, Enrique or Adam. But Reinas save was a match winning save. 2-1 down at that time would have killed us.
