  1.

I suppose it's a pointless argument really as we can't change history but the owners told us that Kenny was sacked as League results were not good enough which was and is a very dangerous precedent to set and for the next man to follow.

"If you don't believe the results are right and feel 37 points off the champions and 17 points off Champions League pace is a long distance you have to make a change" - Ian Ayre last summer.

Not much has changed apart from two less cup finals.

  2. Just watching a re run of an old game on the Liverpool channel at the moment and there's rugby league markings on the pitch, so was just wondering who played there and how often, cheers.

Several other sports have taken place at Anfield. A marathon, world boxing championship, tennis and the Harlem Globetrotters played basketball.

Hopefully one day we'll see football played again.

  3. Hope you're right, although if there's no Suarez, will make it quite a bit more difficult.

Maybe it would make it easier. If he's sold for >£40m and it's spent well we'd have a better team. Problem is, Rodgers keep signing players rejected by the better teams. We are not going to improve unless we buy better than we have. Not one of his signings so far has cemented a place in the starting eleven.

He needs to remember he's now managing Liverpool not Swansea, sign players of the required standard and stop calling mediocre performance "brilliant".

  4. Highest paid union official in the world as well.....and when he goes we'll have and even bigger over the limit driving droning cunt in Clarke Carlise.

union officials are supposed to defend their members, somebody should remind him of his responsibilities.

"It’s important the manager makes it seem as though the 26-year-old is staying, even if he isn’t."

Well he didn't did he? Immediately after the incident he referred to nobody being bigger than the club and nobody being irreplaceable. That sounds like an invitation for offers.

One day LFC will return to everybody acting and speaking in the best interests of the club. It hasn't been that way for a decade or so.

  6. "the voices demanding the removal of Brendan Rodgers are getting stronger, as Liverpudlians realise once again that they hold the career of another man in their hands. The fact that with our matchday revenue dwarfed by that of the Top Four, there isn’t a manager alive who could make Liverpool a title-challenging force again is irrelevant. The knives are out. And to those who wield them, it feels good."

I can't speak for every Liverpool fan, but I'm not expecting him to mount a title challenge. I do however, expect an improvement. Isn't that why we sacked Kenny?

I see nothing in Rodgers past record, his first season with us, his signings or his reported future signings to suggest any kind of improvement.

  7. Manager for only 9 seasons, 13 major trophies won. No manager in England has matched that record over any 9 seasons.

    None.

The only manager in history to be champion of Europe 3 times. Undisputedly the greatest.

  8. "If you don't believe the results are right and feel 37 points off the champions and 17 points off Champions League pace is a long distance you have to make a change.

"You believe you have to improve that part because without it things begin to fall away."-Ian Ayre explaining the sacking of kenny.

If results so far continue for the rest of the season we'll be 42 points off the champions and 18 points off Champions League pace. Explain that one Mr Ayre.

  9. Nah, make fun of Code somewhere else, he deserves it, but this is really a solid question. Where are they as far as the progression of the game goes?

There is no progression. We sacked a manager who was not getting the results the performances deserved and appointed a manager whose performances are getting the results they deserve.

  10. So can anyone tell me?

I ask because I cant see them inside the box when we attack and in our own half when we defend or should that be when we are supposed to defend?

Exactly. We have a manager obsessed with ball retention, because he thinks that stops the opposition from attacking. Yet we have conceded an average of almost two goals a game and are struggling to score. It isn't working - fact. Look at the results.

  11. Just sick of the incompetence throughout the club for so long.

Exactly. Every comment made since this story broke has been cringeworthy and dug the club into a bigger and bigger hole. Why didn't they just tell him to say that what he said was not offensive in his culture, he didn't mean to cause any offence but he apologies if Evra was offended by it. Story over.

Instead the club have perpetuated it and the media have lapped it up.
