Porto youngster Soares to top of Klopp's left back list?

The Reds seemingly never ending search for a left back has now reportedly taken them to Portugal and 22 year old Rafa Soares of FC Porto.
The Portuguese youth international is yet to make a first team appearance for Porto, but impressed on loan last season at Rio Ave, who finished 7th in the Primera Liga, making 38 appearances and scoring three times.
That has brought him to the attention of Liverpool’s scouts, and the full back told Omnisport “I know I’ve been followed by English clubs, especially after our campaign. Liverpool are a great club and to be linked is an enormous honour for me.”
“I followed Liverpool from a young age and I shiver every time I listen to You’ll Never Walk Alone, it’s unique!”
“Liverpool are famous and popular in Portugal where people have the history of a club. I’m naturally flattered, but I’m a Porto player and focused on succeeding here”.
While the player spoke of his ambition to establish himself at Porto and how he feels the club “in his bones”, he’s clearly hedging his bets and with Porto recently having been punished for a breach of Financial Fair Play rules, there’s every chance they may need to sell.
Liverpool’s main left back target going into the summer was Fulham’s 17 year old whizkid Ryan Sessegnon, but the trail seems to have gone cold on that one after it was reported that the youngster wanted to remain in London. Spurs are favourites to secure his signature, which has forced Jurgen Klopp to look elsewhere.
Hull’s Andy Robertson has long been rumoured to be on Liverpool’s radar, but this week it was claimed that his club have slapped a £25m valuation on the Scottish international. Robertson’s young understudy, 18 year old Josh Tymon, is another who is said to be attracting the interest of Klopp, who needs to recruit another left back with Alberto Moreno expected to move on.
It’s a vital summer for Liverpool who have several needs to fill and have a lot of cash in which to do it, having made a profit in the last three transfer windows.
The guys at Best Daily Tips expect Liverpool to finish in the top four, but wth all of last year’s top six set to spend like never before, Klopp needs to get his signings right this summer if he is to even match last season’s fourth place, let alone improve upon it.
