Turmoil At Chelsea Could See Liverpool Mount A Transfer Bid

It is fair to say that Chelsea are not having the best of seasons as new owner Todd Boehly and the Clearlake Capital group try to get to grips with real English football and the true rigours of the Premier League, but it seems Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp could be well placed to benefit from what most believe is now absolute chaos at Stamford Bridge.

For those who like a flutter, the likes of lottoland promo code, could well give them an in to decent odds on what departures will happen over the summer given the turmoil they appear to be in.

Having appointed Graham Potter and then undoubtedly signed players that would not have been on his radar, Chelsea have put themselves in a very precarious financial position now, and with it understandably not working with Potter given the boardroom interference, Frank Lampard is now back, in what many believe is simply a move to try and placate growing fan anger at the presumed incompetence and lack of knowledge being shown.

Lampard was initially sacked given the results he was picking up and the presumed lack of progress being made, but since he returned to the club he has lost his opening four games - their longest streak since 1993, and the re-appointment looks even more bizarre when you consider he has now lost 15 of his last 18 games as a manager in total.

There will undoubtedly need to be a financial correction in the summer, and given the recent spending and their signings, existing talent is reportedly very uneasy about what is happening at the club, and England international Mason Mount has already ended previous contract talks that were underway.

Chelsea are desperate to keep him, but it has been reported recently that Liverpool are keeping a close eye on things and have already prepared and approved an improved deal for him at boardroom level, in agreement with Klopp, in the hopes that a deal can be struck this coming summer.

The 24 year old has long been linked with a potential move to Anfield, and the club are clearly hoping that with on pitch performances deteriorating for Chelsea, given their financial expenditure when you factor in Financial Fair Play regulations, that they will have no choice but to cash in on the Gareth Southgate favourite in an effort to begin balancing the books.

The versatile star would definitely be an asset to Klopp's side, and although Chelsea is his boyhood club and he came through their youth ranks, it is widely believed he has grown disillusioned at the club given recent changes, and the wages paid to others when the club were unwilling to meet his own demands.

It is certainly one for Liverpool fans to watch, as it could be an interesting summer.
