Klopp rumours as struggling Reds are yet to hit the ground running.

According to a shocking and almost certainly unfounded claim, Jurgen Klopp has already spoken with a significant European club about his prospective departure from Liverpool and has informed them that if he stays at Anfield, he would like to bring in two world-class players.

Since joining Liverpool in October 2015, Klopp has had great success with the Reds. Under his leadership, they have won every major trophy, including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup.

However, this season has been difficult for Klopp and Liverpool. Midway through the season, the squad was ranked 10th in the Premiership, several points off the Champions League spots.

In bad news for those with Liverpool tickets, there have been increasing rumours that Klopp might leave Liverpool at the end of the current campaign. The boss himself addressed them and moved to allay supporters concerns, but while results continue to go awry the speculation will always be there. There are similarities between the 55-year-current old's situation and the time he spent playing for Borussia Dortmund at the end of his career, German pundit Raphael Honigstein recently stated on The Athletic Football Podcast.

He seems disgruntled and occasionally lashes out at reporters, just like at Dortmund. Should Graham Potter be fired as the Blues manager, Chelsea has already been urged to move quickly to hire Klopp as Potter's replacement. However, in shock rumours for anyone with Liverpool tickets, speculation that Klopp would move to Real Madrid has just surfaced.

The manager of Liverpool has apparently already had discussions about managing Real, claims Goal's live transfer blog, which cites a report coming out of Spain. Almost certainly nonsense but supporters are rarely privy to conversations that take place between clubs and agents.

Van Nistelrooy, Man United: The good, the bad and the ugly of the Cody Gakpo transfer

In not-so-savoury news for those with Liverpool tickets, Cody Gakpo has acknowledged that before finalising his deal with Liverpool in January, he discussed a move to Manchester United with Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Gakpo, who starred at the World Cup for the Netherlands off the back of a productive 18 months for the Eredivisie club, joined the Reds for an initial £37 million from PSV Eindhoven last month. He had, though, previously appeared to be moving to Old Trafford after interest the previous summer.

Gakpo has disclosed he did speak to his compatriot about the potential of joining Liverpool's main rivals, PSV, where Red Devils great Van Nistelrooy serves as manager. Although Van Nistelrooy wanted Gakpo to join United, the forward said that his former coach put personal allegiances aside.

Gakpo admitted, "To be honest, I spoke to him a lot about Manchester United in the summer when the deal appeared imminent."

"But not really in the winter. Ruud wanted me to join a major league team, and I have done that with Liverpool.

"During the summer, there was a lot of speculating. Yes, it had some impact on me since it was the first window that allowed for movement."

However, there was a time when I told myself, "forget about it, play your best match, and maybe it will happen next season or in the winter." That's what I attempted to do, and it was successful.

Given the close ties to United last summer, it came as a surprise when Gakpo was acquired by Liverpool before Christmas.

The striker, who scored netted three times during the World Cup in Qatar, was only made aware of contact after the Netherlands' participation in the competition had ended, despite the Reds' own interest having existed before the World Cup.

The changeover took place rather swiftly after that, because Gakpo—a devoted Christian—insisted on delaying it until after Christmas.

"I believe the sale was completed five days after I learned of Liverpool's interest", he stated. "My manager and brother were aware of it for a longer period of time, but I told them not to tell me anything during the World Cup because I needed to concentrate."

"As soon as I learned of the interest, I had the want to go right away. Have you got a second Christmas? Boxing Day? While I was with my family, including my nieces and aunts, I kept getting calls about Liverpool."

"But I didn't use my phone on Christmas Day, and the phone was not in use because it was a highly significant day. That day, exactly, was when it occurred."

The Liverpool sale: FSG is adamant

Right now, uncertainty permeates every aspect of Liverpool Football Club. Along with the team's poor performance, the lack of direction from above is just adding to the team's anxiety and discontent.

Disputes about who should own the Merseyside club had erupted among those holding Liverpool tickets when it was revealed that Fenway Sports Group had begun to seek investors.

Since the news, reports have needed to be more consistent. According to a story published one week, FSG is lobbying for a minority investment. However, the following week, the American businesspeople may be forced to accept a complete sale as the only option.

One thing is definite despite all the uncertainties. Since the summer transfer window is about to open, the entire matter needs to be resolved as quickly as possible.

The club has had the most extraordinary reports of interest from Qatar, but there are many others all around the world who could benefit from the most recent information.

If the existing owners don't change their views on their % stake, the transaction between Qatar FSG and the purchase of Liverpool will fail, claims sports journalist Qatari.

The Middle Eastern tycoons seek to control one of the biggest clubs in the world by holding a majority stake (more than 50%) in the club.

However, Fenway Sports Group is hesitant to cede power, and therefore the Qataris might decide to leave. However, Qatari asserts that the agreement is still in place and that it is up to FSG to adjust its position.

Will John Henry and FSG give up, or will Liverpool continue to be owned by them for a very long time?

Transfer Watch

When Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita's contract expires at the end of the current season, there are a number of clubs interested in signing him on a free transfer, according to The Daily Mirror (via Milan News). AC Milan is one of such clubs.

The 27-year-old midfielder's contract expires in June, and there have yet to be any signs that Liverpool will extend it, given his lack of form and fitness throughout the entirety of his time with the club.

Football Insider claims that Liverpool intends to trade Joel Matip at the end of the current campaign for a figure of roughly £15 million in the summer.

Matip has struggled with his form and fitness this season and his time at Anfield appears to be winding down. In August, the defender will be 32 and begin the last year of his contract.

Additionally, the former Schalke player has a history of ailments, and thus Liverpool might decide to swap him out for a more trustworthy and younger replacement.

According to 90min, Liverpool is closely monitoring the position of Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah and may make a play for him in the future.

Tah has been a pillar of the team since manager Xabi Alonso took over at Bayer Leverkusen, but the rumour has it that he aspires to play in the Premier League someday.

Ansu Fati's situation at Barcelona is being monitored by quite a number of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, who believe he may be leaving in the summer.

Barcelona views him as crucial for the present and the future, but they haven't ruled out the possibility of the renowned #10 inheritor leaving the club.

Liverpool is one of the Premier League teams looking into a deal for Piotr Zielinski of Napoli, according to a report from Il Mattino (via Sport Witness).

The contract for Zielinski expires in 2024. In order to balance their budget, Napoli has yet to extend the agreement with the Polish midfielder and may decide to sell him if a decent offer comes in.

It is anticipated that Liverpool will undertake a makeover in the summer, with midfield reinforcements being especially important.

The Reds are interested in Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to journalist Steve Kay, who spoke with Get Football News Italy.

The Serie A team's contract with the Serbian player expires in the summer of 2024, which may persuade the organisation to sell the player now rather than risk losing him for nothing the following season.

With Liverpool trying to claw their way back into competitive waters this season, those with Liverpool tickets have been with them through thick and thin. Jurgen Klopp's men have massive numbers in attendance both home and away despite the raging on-field disappointments. You can attend your Liverpool games by sourcing reliable tickets from trusted reseller platforms.
