It's a pastime played professionally by middle aged blokes in white trousers with pot bellies, it's not a sport. The only thing I dislike more than golfers are people who go and watch at and applaud. Fair enough if you either fancy poking a ball about with a stick as a precursor to a drinking spree, or get paid a fortune by a sponsor because Sky TV feel the need to broadcast you to sad piss stinking old retired blokes who haven't fucked their wives in twenty years and buy their clothes from Jacamo.com but as far as its merits as a sport are concerned - fuck off. Carry on.

Next week I’ll be golfing in Machrihanish for 5 days on the excellent Machrihanish Dunes and Golf course with 9 Scottish mates. Anyone ever been? Really looking forward to it. Last year I had a thread on here where I was telling you that we would be playing the courses in Royal Dornoch. I think that achieved a total of 4 replies. The year before was St Andrews and that had a fearsome 6 replies! So here's hoping thei thread can break the record!... But I'm a wee bit excited I have to say. Love playing a few courses for the first time.
