  1. I was having a discussion with the missus and some friends at the weekend about marriage and the reasons for it. I've been to 3 weddings this year, all in churches and not one of those 6 people is a regular attender of church. I find the whole thing to be a bit of a charade to be honest, I am not in favour of getting married, at this moment I have no strong desire to be married and definitely never in a religous ceremony. I could never marry in a church due to me having no belief in religion, I would see it as being extremely hypocritical and dis-respectful of those who do have faith. On this me and the lady agree but she does want to be married at some point and definitely before starting a family. We're both still very young and have no plans for a family in the near future, however I'm sure that will arise one day. Both her parents are religious and would be most upset if she were not to be married (church or otherwise) and would be against her having children outside of marriage. Myself, I don't see much point in getting married, it seems an outdated tradition and I don't see how it would change our situation at all. If we had been together 10 years, had children, both had good jobs and owned a house, etc. what difference would it really make? Her argument is that it would make her feel more emotionally (and financially) secure. Am I just young and naive or is marriage now an outdated, irrelevant tradition?
  2. I'm genuinely interested to see what people think, regarding our players. I know there are a few people who believe that a lack of resources are the main reason behind our lack of a title challenge over the last few seasons. So I just wanted to see what the TLW bretheren feel about it all. So, do we have the players to make a consistent and concerted challenge for the league - simple yes or no answer. By 'challenge' I mean in with a realistic shout of winning it and finishing within say five points in May. And before anyone says, 'there isn't an option I wanted to vote for', I just want to make it clear that it's a simple question. Do we have the players capable of sustaining a geunine challenge for the league title?
