Apparently George received an email over the weekend suggesting that he should retire because he is past it and plays crap non-"up tempo" "records" such as Lady in Red(!) As far as I am concerned, the bloke was talking cobblers and George has pointed out that recently his "set list" has included The Killers, Razorlight, The Hives,Sugababes (doing an Arctic Monkeys number) Kasabian, Alterkicks and er McFly :whistle: What do the chaps who go the match think? Is George a legend who still has his place as part of the Anfield tradition or a relic who needs replacing with some Soccer AM-friendly modernisation?

Watching the buck toothed genius cheered me up no end last night in a hugely entertaining Barcelona v Zaragoza game. 1-1 with a couple of minutes left after he'd equalised a Milito opener. Absolute corker of a free kick curled in top corner with a minute to go, then deep in injury time he cracked another onto the underside of the crossbar for Saviola to head in the rebound and make it 3-1. Best player in the world by a mile, seems to be getting back his old form too. An absolute joy to watch.
